ThinkPad X1 Yoga

I'm really enjoying Thinkpad X1 Yoga as a Linux laptop. [...] Also battery life is average, but there's a way to optimize the system for minimum power draw which I never did.

I'm an engineer that has both an apple silicon laptop (mbp, m2) and a linux laptop (arch, thinkpad x1 yoga.) I choose the mac every day of the week and it's not even close. I daily openSUSE Tumbleweed on a Thinkpad X1 Yoga, and while I don't use the 2-in-1 functionality a lot, I've found it to be a solid experience.

That sounds very strange. I got my Thinkpad X1 Yoga Gen8 (13th gen i7 U-series w/ 32 GB RAM) with a 4K 16:10 OLED display. Best laptop I have ever had, amazingly fast and lasts the whole day. When I did my research before buying, I know the X1 Carbon was available with at least a 2.5K OLED display.

picked up a thinkpad x1 yoga gen2 off Craigslist this morning since my laptop screen shattered last night (thank God i just got paid and there was a good deal) and my God the built in tablet pen rules

My eldest has been using my old Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga, and while I was away it started erroring on boot with "Fan error" and refusing to turn on. I took the back off, had a look, but couldn't see anything interesting. There was a "Reset" microswitch though, so I hit it, and reattached the back.

Not a pro but I have a work issued Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga Gen 6 and I would never recommend anyone get this. I’ve had far too many issues since I got it and it was brand new when sent to me.
