I've been using this laptop for over a year. Just as the warranty finished, the top of my touch screen stopped working. The trackpad also only works for 10 minutes. [...]

Have been giving Ubuntu an honest to goodness shot this week. I have a Surface Laptop 3 I bought awhile back and has been running macOS Tahoe on it. But Tahoe isn’t great and being stuck on it for awhile as Apple has left Intel software support behind, I thought I’d see what else was out there.

Which is simply not true. Decades of touchscreen PCs show this isn't the case. My Surface Laptop 3 is 6 years old with thousands of hours of use (including constant touch and a fair amount of pen) and the screen isn't scratched and doesn't look bad at all.

right now i have the microsoft surface laptop 3, which is fine and it’s lasted almost four years (it will be 4 years in january), an acceptable amount of time to replace it imo. but i didn’t end up loving it so i don’t think i’m gonna go that route again

Ended up buying the 16GB version after this review, and after several months of use, I can say everything in the review is exactly my experience down to the fingerprint magnetism. Excellent review.
