I have a Supernote Nomad ( and am quite pleased with it given I can sideload Obsidian and other Android apps for those extra geeky things I want to do occasionally on it. But I have been looking at newer devices with color (and backlights), although I wouldn’t want to get stuck in Amazon’s ecosystem…

I have a Supernote Nomad and love the size of it, which is A6 sized. I struggle to see how making one more narrow than an A6 pad is useful. This Remarkable kind of looks more like a long post it note or grocery list instead of a notebook.

The Kindle is still amazing value for money at any price - especially when compared to others with a smaller ecosystem. And being able to sideload DRM-free books I get on other stores (while I can) is just icing on the cake since I want to actually own my books and read them in future devices. That said, I am very happy with my Supernote Nomad as an e-reader as well (it is a note taking device, but runs the Kindle Android app) even if it is completely out of the price range the OP discusses.

I have had the Supernote Nomad for three days now and I love it. I have digitized a lot of my note taking and it has really helped to consolidate my ADHD organizational messes. It also just feels nice to do work brainstorming on something without a backlight, feels much more like just writing […]

Finally I got my Supernote Nomad and installed Obsidian. I used a Linux machine to install because it was not shown by adb devices command on my mac.
Since people are asking about e-ink devices: I own two Supernotes. I have tried multiple other e-ink devices (Remarkable, Boox, and some that no longer exist as companies) because handwriting on e-ink is my holy grail. I use this planner on my Supernote Nomad (A6 size).
