Steam Deck OLED

I have been using Steam Deck oled as my main computing device for 2 years. It has been amazing. It's fast and silent.

I bought a Steam Deck OLED last year, and it's honestly astounding to me how well it both provides an amazing out-of-the-box experience for both the "gaming mode" Steam interface and the "desktop mode" with a regular Linux desktop without sacrificing basically any customization. This time I won't buy it day one like the steamdeck and wait a bit, I still feel bitter about the steam deck oled release 1 year later after the first version.

im soooo happy i got the 1tb last summer for a measly $480 (compared to the price now) lol. Its perfect for kicking back in bed and just playing some single player and/or indie games! Emulation is ridiculous as well, i love this thing.

Dunno if the new ROG Xbox Ally is worth $600/$1,000, but I do know that I've used the Steam Deck OLED ($550/$650) nearly every day for the last two years and it runs almost everything I want to play perfectly

Bought mine last year and it's been pretty much all I've played games on since... to put it in perspective, I've got a PS5 and a £1700 gaming laptop, and gaming in the Steam Deck is way more fun.

i bought mine almos a year ago and im still loving it, most of my gaming is now on it, the only game i couldnt play on it the past year was wukong, that one i played it on my desktop pc, dont even get me started on emulation

Pruchased the steamdeck early this year and man ive got so much use out of it. I travel way too much to own a console and this thing has been so amazing!

I got the 1TB OLED model for Christmas 2025 as a gift, along with a 1TB MicroSD, just before the price increase, and I love it

How the upcoming Steam Summer Sales feel to me now more than ever since i got a Steam Deck OLED 1TB in March as my birthday gift from family!

Feel like i made a mistake purchasing the legion go last year.. its a 100+ steps to launch a game many apps that pop up the windows system and legion space is not that responsive it takes a longtime for the machine to be fully operational and dont get me wrong after hours of custumizing it and steam having a bigpicture launch did make a lot of diffrence! And it is a powefull device but.. i feel like steamdeck is just click and go and i prefer that i think

There's also just the factor that SSD prices were not absolutely 100% fucked in January when I bought it, and the Steam Deck OLED itself was nearly $300 cheaper back then, so now if I want to just replace the SSD with a larger one myself, then it's gonna be super expensive.

I got the limited translucent version of the Steam Deck OLED and was actually considering flipping it and getting a regular one Opened the box took one look and haha nope it stays right here, it is home now

I can’t tell you how happy I am that I bought a Switch 2 and Steam Deck OLED when I did. I think it’ll be a decade before I buy any new hardware.

I own the rog ally x with bazzite and I have steam deck oled I still find myself on the deck more

Ive been tinkering with it for hours, got it today LOL. Its the OLED model. As a Linux nerd, Ive mostly playing the customization game lol

For me the biggest thing is definitely the fact that it’s steam owned. It’s incredibly consumer friendly and I can open my steam library on the deck

It's not the most powerful handheld, but I absolutely enjoy it. It's seamless and easy to run. The amount of AAA games you can play from a few years back at good performance is amazing.

The reasons I got a Steam Deck instead of the ROG Ally is that first, I play most of my games on Steam. Second is that I bought a gaming handheld to play games, so I went with a device that has an OS dedicated for playing said games.

Bought an OLED a few weeks ago just ‘coz. It’s amazing, re-ignited my love of gaming, even bought a bunch of games I already own on other systems because there is more chance of me actually playing them on the Deck. Resi 2, Miles Morales, GOW, Doom Eternal on the go is worth it alone.

Gyro aiming is something that will blow your mind. Play Doom once on a Steam Deck and be transported back to when you were much younger and got your first game that really blew your mind at how awesome it was. I have been blessed to have gone from Nintendo and Mario games to being wowed by a PSP and now I am at a loss for words with the Steam Deck. What a time to be alive.

I got one during the launch and then one for my brother and finally an OLED when they came out. Now if you like Tekken you NEED the OLED because the system just runs it better and the controls are just that much better. I am loving my steam deck since I got it for Christmas and I have the LCD version! I was using the switch exclusively and am a Mac user otherwise so this is a fantastic piece of kit for me that allows me access to all the PC games I can’t play
