I low-key hate myself for this, but I went and preorder. I've been waiting for SFOS to come to my Xperia 10 IV but that seems to still be in beta, and after quite a few years it'd be hard to switch over ask well... But I have to try support Jolla as they've been my go-to phone OS maker for the last 10-15 years.

Huge fan of the Sony xperia 10 series for the battery life, people laugh at my screen resolution but I always tell them "I don't want a phone, I want a powerbank with phone capabilities" I charge it once every 2 days or sometimes 3 if I use it less

My phone is driving me nuts. Nice battery life but lack of RAM or aggressive running processes limit means I'm forever getting thrown out of stuff after only switching away briefly. I have small lady hands, I'm already at my physical phone size limit really - it's a Sony Xperia 10 V. [...]

This will become increasingly important as Google has boiled the frog too fast while trying to force its new store policies + banning sideloading; however, all of the pieces are now in place for them to try again in a year or 2, which history shows us they will. It’s certainly time to start toying with Linux phones if you haven’t already. This year I picked up an Xperia 10 to flash Sailfish OS on—which has rough edges (many of the hardware issues should be fixed in the next release), but Android App support bridges some of the gaps in application support.

I have been using Xperia 10 III as my main phone for years with Sailfish OS just fine. Looks like they also support up to Xperia 10 V & there is the Jolla C2 community device:

The issue is the import phones I want to buy don't suppprt those bands. An example phone I might want (Xperia 10 IV) supports 12 bands for LTE, my carrier (US T-Mobile) supports 6, but the intersection is only 2 bands (the old GSM bands) and I know my carrier doesn't always have coverage on those bands. I've got enough dead zones without throwing out 4 bands.

Been happy with Sony Xperia 10 series, which is similar width, but taller as tallness really do not annoy me. Also massive battery. Sadly they are going to stop selling those here, so I might just need to go to Samsung next year...

This is maybe specific to the model, but my previous phone (Xperia 10 V) had its sensor on the power button and I'd always unintentionally unlock it immediately after locking it and putting it back in my pocket
