Sennheiser Momentum 4

Now with lossless audio on streaming services, these headphones really shine with the higher bit-rates, as well as the AptX low latency, which not many people talk about with Bluetooth audio, but these headphones are far less laggy than my Sony LDAC SRS-HG1 bluetooth speaker, and I think this is overlooked on most reviews as this adds to immersion when watching video.

You made me choose Momentum 4 last year. For the past year, it's made me very happy with the sound quality, battery life and... the price OMG, I still just smile silly sometimes thinking what an absolute bang for money that is simply impossible to get elsewhere, it's too goodddddd for the asking price it's almost like cheating.

Getting this recommended almost 6 months after buying my M4s from your "Best Headphones Under $200 Awards 2025" video, it has been the best decision I have ever made for that price, so I wanted to say thank you so much!! I was having the Bose QuietComfort 2023 and ditched them for the M4s because I, even as someone who shares a room with a brother who screams when playing with friends almost every day + commuting normally, the comfort and NC performance difference doesn't make up for the absolute difference in audio quality. Having the M4s conneted by a 2m usb-c cable has been amazing, the ANC is good enough (doesn't bother me naturally like the ANCs from Bose and Sony + with music it's also good enough for everything I do) and the comfort is also very good for someone with a big head. If you are someone who likes having the best audio quality, I recommend these headphones, the only problem I've had is that the EQ resets automatically for what I guess is because I constantly change devices, but the normal EQ is very good if you're not very picky, so If you don't mind, then it's perfect for the price.

Fella! I’ve literally tried everything last year to replace these. Bose Gen 2, AirPod Pro Max, XM6, Sonos, Hbd630, Nothing andI kept the M4s over these and others I’ve forgotten. I still use them almost daily, even more than my 3x $$$ Px8 S2. I like my B&W but the M4s just do exactly what I want/like. Exceptional headphones for $200-300. I bought a pair of Sennheiser Momentum 4 and Sennheiser HD600 used from eBay for like 1/3 the price last year and they've been genuinely life changing I grew up with headphones cheaper than the free kind that come with $20 MP3 players and now I love music again

i got the momentum 4 when they came out in 22, i took my pcx550's in for a warranty repair and they just sent me a pair of brand new momentum 4's. [...] and they are still fine i like the m4 sound. i really seem to be different from the audiophiles. most of what they like sounds completely flat and overly mid heavy to me, so the bass heavy nature of the suit me. [...] they sound a bit mid/treable heavy to me. [...]

ive had mine for a couple years, practically daily use, replaced the ear pads, and unfortunately the fabric at the top of the headband started to come out of the crease on the backside, not a big deal for me, but my main problem was the noise cancelling, it essentially broke a year into having them cause the left side started making a hiss/hum, it was intermittent to begin with then slowly became worse over time, now if the anc is on theres a very noticeable hiss or static in the left ear cup, but i kinda blame myself for not sending them in, i still use them about everyday with the anc off, they sound very good to me with all music but are incredible for genres like rap, dnb, anything that benefits from that extra sub bass because you can really dial it up to the max, just got more into "freeform bass" and i have to take my glasses off and turn the anc on to get "max" bass, but when i get a good seal it rumbles like a pair of sonys xb line of headphones, or like a more cromulent version of skullcandy crushers which roll off hard bellow 30hz, the m4s resonate down to 14hz, and absolutely pound in the 20hz region, which i havent experienced in any other over ear headphones, but i havent tried too many so if anyone has any reccomendations for bass cans under $300, wired or wireless, that can compare to the sub bass of m4s pls let me know 😅

Or Sennheiser momentum 4, 150 bucks and sound at least as good if not better, have absolutely huge battery compared to tiny apple one, more comfortable and generally work much better with non-apple ecosystem (also apparently they support multi-device pairing but I haven't used that one). Don't pay the novelty price shortly after release, these go down quite a bit after introduction, ie last year Sony are basically the same device.

The noise cancellation is also great. [...] You can get the Seinhensser Momentum 4, wireless optional, but closed over-ear and still work without battery, for less than 200. Way better sound quality than the in-ears.

Great vid. Just got the momentum 4. I had the ATH M50x, but liked the Momentum 4 more. I even did a m50x EQ on the m4 because I did like the 50x, but overall, i liked the M4 more.

Old man yells at cloud moment, but: I bought new medium-high-end headphones (Sennheiser Momentum 4) recently, and they have tap/gesture controls that I can never get to work right and get triggered inadvertently all the time. Just give me buttons! What was wrong with buttons?

I just bought a brand-new one for 180$ along with the HD 550 for 210$ for outside and desktop use respectively. These are my first Sennheiser headphones, if I like them enough, I might get the momentum 5 in the next few years.

i bought them on sale and they are one of the best ive owned.

I just bought a pair a week ago. One of the best things I have ever bought, amazing value. The sound quality is just superb and battery life is nuts.

I've had these for the same amount of time and have tried everything that has come out since, but I still continue to come back to these. A Momentum 5 that can go louder (without changing any aspect of the sound signature), is made of better quality materials and has better padding up top would be the absolute perfect headphone in my books.

Got a momentum 4 in germany mediamarkt for just 180 euros, I dont think you can get anything better for that price

I bought the Momentum 4 when they were released. Then I bought a pair of Bowers & Wilkins PX8 to replace them. After less than one month with the PX8 I start to miss the in my opinion more entertaining sound of my Momentum 4. [...]

I got the Sony XM4s on sale recently and love them! I think the Bose QuietComfort and Sennheiser Momentum 4 are in the same ballpark too. I used to buy Anker Soundcore. Very decent sound/ANC for the money. But I found they always break at the hinge after 6 to 18 months.

Losing my mind trying to fix my Sennheiser MOMENTUM 4 Wireless Headphones. My laptop recognises them. But besides that, they won't turn on or light up.

I heartily recommend the Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones I bought earlier this year. Not least because we're getting a new roof put in, and my spouse is like "you're gonna have a migraine from all that noise" - with the noise cancelling, I don't even notice 😆

I bought my Momentum 4 headphones during the 2024 Best Buy Black Friday sale after reading a lot of good reviews. I really didn't like their stock sound, but then did some custom EQing and they came alive. They sound so much better after tweaking. The battery life is unreal - I hardly ever need to charge them, but I still plug them in out of habit when they're down to 3 or 4 dots. I don't really care about ANC because I mostly listen to them at home. After all this time with moderate use, I too noticed that the clamping pressure has decreased in a good way. [...]
