Samsung S90D

What is the half-screen display? On my Samsung S90D (new within the last year or so), I can set it to skip the "home" screen and go directly to the last input on power on. It works well.

The 77 inch has a known powerboard defect. My powerboard went out 3 months into owning it (1000$) then failed again 6 months later

My S90D lasted 1 year and 19days now it trips the circuit breaker just from being plugged into the wall socket and wall switch turned on. WHATA PIECE OF EXPNSIVE SHIT. Time to chnage brands

I have enjoyed my S90D for almost a year and it still blows me away when I game or watch 4K content

I have the Samsung s90c 55-in I got it 3 months ago I wonder if it's a second generation panel without having to go in and mess with stuff to find out but I love my TV I haven't had any bugs not one but thing has been running amazing I think I just got lucky I guess

I have the 77-in version of this TV. It is a wonderful TV except for the motherboard burned out of it in about 6 months. They fixed it for free thankfully with a different motherboard that doesn't burn out. All that being said when we switch to the film accurate color mode we think it looks like dog s to hell with accurate color we put on the AI vibrant mode and it looks beautiful with stunning vibrant colors I can't fathom why anybody would want the image to look more dull.

Be aware the 77" S90D has a very common and known issue where the power supply will die, causing the TV to completely die. [...] Mine died at 6 months and the Samsung Technician who came to repair it told me his repair shop replaces 50 power supplies a month just for the S90D...and that is only in one medium sized city in one small state. Luckily the new power supply is supposed to be bulletproof but be aware of that before purchasing that at some point, your 77" S90D will likely die shortly after purchase, and you will need to get it fixed. I agree 💯 with quality control my Q9fn65 I had to send back 3 times first time screen didn't work 2nd the coating was peeling 3rd the back panel was falling off. I should have sent it back a 4th time it had 1 broken pixel in the bottom right corner but this process had taken 6 months and Samsung was giving any discounts or store credits. [...] I wish they'd update the firmware with Xbox and they made a bunch of promises of One connect box upgrades they haven't done yet.

I just bought mine for 77” for $1299 and I was lucky to get it because it’s just popped up suddenly and I got to grab it or else I will regret it. I have been checking on Best Buy every day since January for that size and that price. I was almost buying the 65” Samsung oled for $975 lowest brand and Sony 85” (2024) led bravid 3 $999 but I glad I waited.

I just snagged a 77" S90D at the end of the year for $1700 and added a 4-year extended warranty. This is a fantastic value. I think the contrast on the S90D is better. [...]

Woot has a deal right now for a 65" for $1078 total usd new. I already had the 42" as my pc monitor and love it so now I got a living room one.

Don't buy this TV you will be forced to pay out more than $330.00 for a special "Samsung" wall bracket if you wish to connect your cables to it after mounting. They decided in their infinite wisdom to place the Toslink port under the frame at the rear. Making it impossible to connect a cable once it has been mounted on the wall. Now I am forced to get another person to help me dismount the entire set from the walmount to change these cables. Not very smart in my opinion.

Here in switzerland i sadly had to figure out that only the 65inch has the qd panel labeled with DAT! All other models have serial DAE and are woled!

So I have the s90d 55" and I have to say the sound that the comes out of this TV is the best I've ever heard for a modern flat panel.

I bought a 65 inch Samsung S90D with QD-OLED panel and its truly stunning especially when watching the right 4K HDR content or Days Gone, TLOU Part 1 & TLOU II Remastered on the PS5 Pro are soooo good, Ratchet & Clank - Rift Apart is one of THE best looking games when it comes to explosive colours and silky smooth gameplay. I loved my Samsung Q-LED and had to sell it a few years back, was amazing so went to the QN900C or QN90C but then saw the S90D OLED also used Quantum Dot Tech so its two in one... Q-Led and Oled together which makes for one spectacular looking TV. [...]

The panel is so thin that when my friend and I picked it up out of the box a to lay it down on the table as instructed, the panel collapsed under its own weight. That is my definition of quality control issues.

S95D here, had a deal on a 77 inch for $2850, the coating is absolutely no issue, the tv is incredible, and while gaming, I never think about coating whatsoever. In fact, although at first I was hesitant, i have become more impressed with it the more that I use it and see absolutely zero glare at all even with my lamps on in the background

I bought the s90d for mostly gaming might watch news a little bit off satellite reason being because the store discounted it to s90c closeout price. They also added a 3 year warranty which sounds like I might need? I can say my LG c9 has ran flawless for going on 5 years in my family room

It's my first QD-OLED TV and I'm loving it so far. im done with samsung, Other brands like MSI makes better QD oled monitors compared to samsung and for TVs i just buy LG.

As someone who just upgraded to a G4 from a G2 I can testify that LG has absolutely knocked it out of the park this year

I just bought the s90d for 1300 total. The problem I have is that the lack of Dolby vision makes my blu ray content sound either too loud or too quiet depending on the scene.

i got the c4 55" for pc gaming and colors looks a better washed out on game optimizer. should i return and get the s90D ? or can the c4 be saved through calibrating ?

I used to have a Sony x9000h 75" but decided to upgrade, anyways the issue is I just found out after making the purchase and awaiting the delivery that there is some sort of panel lotteries specifically in the S90D lineup that you could get a WOLED panel in that TV. After extensive research I have found out that my TV is going to be WOLED and not QD-OLED in Saudi Arabia which was a bummer to me honestly.
