I love this watch and I'm totally bummed that Sasung is trying to force us to buy a new watch by stopping support for it. I lost all my favorite downloadable watch faces in an instant. It literally happened in the middle of the day. I thought I had done something! lol I don't like the new watched. I don't like the available colors. I like my physical bezel. Whatever, all I need it to do is tell time and it still doesn't that so I'm not upgrading.
I have SM-R845U and it stopped being able to record heart rates nearly a year ago. Samsung stated no updates after 09.30.2025, but I couldn't receive or force an update for at least 18 months. It is a solid "watch" though and most functions still work.

Using the exact same processor and giving us a smaller battery was a gigantic "Eff You" to us Samsung enthusiasts. I was told that with software tweaks, the GW3 battery performance would be "on par" with the nearly 2.5 year old Galaxy Watch. [...] And speaking of that, is it too much to ask to expect a newer, WAY MORE EXPENSIVE watch to be "on par" with the older model or significantly better? I appreciate the small advantages (more memory, which is about time, BTW) blood O2 levels and finally ECG support...but my advice to Samsung fans would be to hold onto your older watches or simply just buy one of them instead and save yourself $$ and wait until Samsung finally gives us the bells and whistles worthy of their significant price increase they slapped us with on the GW3.

Help my active 2 is draining battery fast. Initially I used to get get 2days and some now it's giving me 1day8h wtf . Pls help
I've bought this week an Active 2 and in day 2 received the software update with ECG and blood pressure in Brazil.

Definitely an interesting, and as ever honest assessment. I'm glad I personally have the Watch Active2 which like you, in my opinion is definitely the better buy between it and the GW3. You are right though, if the blood pressure and SpO2 functions are present in BOTH watches, WHY don't Samsung enable them internationally, surely it would just require a firmware update?
I bought active 2 stainless steel version when i saw first official video for watch 3, the difference between them is minimal mainly physical bezel and So2 measurement. Congratulations on 1 mil subscribers.
I got mine this week and I love it. It's lighter and less chunky than the Galaxy watch 1st gen.
I got my 45 mm mystic Black version a few days ago and have been loving it. Now just to wait for my Note 20 Ultra to ship.
Been waiting for this review. Bought a Watch 3 a couple days after it went on sale because I found an open box one from Best Buy's website for $58 less than MSRP for the 45mm one. Love this thing a lot coming from wearOS (which I think is still not great despite recent improvements).
