Idk who's gonna see this but interesting story: I got a note 10 as a hand-me-down from my dad back in 2020 and it was amazing. [...] One night, a small earthquake occured and I don't know if it's a coincidence but my note 10's screen died. [...] I knew it was only the screen cause I plugged it to my monitor to use dex and it worked. [...] Fast forward 4 years later and despite the fact that I've been maining the S20FE since then, i charged the note 10 every now and then cause I know it's still alive. Lo and behold 6 days ago, the screen came back to life with no problems. I updated everything and the phone is pretty much usable to this day! [...]

I can't stand the click of an Apple Pencil, and it annoys me that it only works on specific iPads, and I do not need yet another battery/capacitor to manage in my life (refuse to use wireless keyboards/mice). Currently, all of the devices I use support Wacom EMR: - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ - Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 - Kindle Scribe - Wacom One 13 (gen one) display attached to my MacBook Pro (sometimes it gets switched to a Linux box) and unfortunately, that's not possible w/ an all-Apple eco-system (because they haven't made a replacement for my Newton MessagePad (which had a stylus which did not need a battery)). Pretty much the only paper I use is for grocery lists (and if Amazon or someone would make a small e-ink device which used a Wacom EMR stylus which I could leave in the kitchen and which would synch to the cloud, even that would stop) or for sketches/diagrams which want to be larger than the Kindle Scribe allows.

Using a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, Kindle Scribe, and Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 these days, since there wasn't a replacement for my Samsung Galaxy Book 12, and I despair of how Microsoft has dumbed-down the stylus since Fall Creators Update: --- in Windows 11 I have to keep the Settings app open so I can toggle the stylus behaviour depending on which application I'm using. Fortunately, Firefox added a preference for using a stylus as a stylus, not an 11th touch input which actually works: about:config change: dom.w3cpointerevents.scrollbypen.enabled set it to False.

It's nice, but doesn't have the advantages of e-ink. I work similarly to the person in the parent article, but use a mix of devices: - Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 --- running Windows 11 this is used for development and web browsing and art/drawing and 3D modeling and so forth - Kindle Scribe --- ebook reader and notepad --- sometimes will use the web browser for referencing documentation - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ --- on-the-go usages - Wacom One (gen 1 13 inch stylus display) attached to an Apple MacBook --- affords the ability to draw/annotate The big thing is all 3 devices use the same Wacom EMR stylus technology, so it's seamless switching from one to the other when using a stylus.

Hover distance is the big thing for me, and I mislike jitter when drawing slowly in NTrig, and I need more batteries to charge/manage like I need a hole in my head. I have: - Galaxy Note 10+ - Kindle Scribe - Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 - Wacom One plus two spare styluses in my EDC bag, two more spares at the coffee table in the living room, and 3 more in a box on a shelf --- that they don't have batteries/capacitors and "just work" when I need them is an aspect of my life which I rely on.

[...] On the other hand, my note 10 can still perform daily task, like email, call, txt, photo and still it can keep up with the new iphone 16 pro. I have this phone and I actually love it. My only gripe with its bigger brother is that I can't do everything I want without having to use two hands. The Note 10 has the pen experience that I want (and it is useful in a lot of scenarios) and I can browse, text, and go through apps really comfortably using just one hand.

Other competitors in this space: - Daylight Computer (mentioned in the article) - Onyx Boox - Kobo - Amazon Kindle Scribe (also mentioned) FWIW, I still haven't managed to fully replace my Newton MessagePad with a single device --- the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ comes close, but I don't like to read books on it, and it's a bit small, so makes sketching fussy. [...] The Wacom One 13 (gen one screen) attached to my MacBook is a nice fallback, and makes it convenient when I'm both taking notes or referring to a text (on my Scribe) and drawing/annotating/working on a project on my Mac. The Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 is awesome, but a bit large and cumbersome when folded into tablet mode --- really wish Samsung had made a replacement for my Galaxy Book 12 (the perfect thing would be a dual-screen 12" device w/ Wacom EMR, competing against the Lenovo Yogabook 9i (which I'd buy if it had Wacom EMR)). I have the note 10 and hot it when it first came The only thing that I have issues with is the old android 12 and overheating issues I have replaced its battery and it's still working fine

I'm actually rocking the Note 10 plus as of 2025 and some models do still have the micro sd card for extended storage. I currently have a 512 gb internal memory and 512 gb external. It still rocks the only cons are that it's not being updated anymore and the battery is getting weak.

Wow, I just look at the Thumbnail while I'm charging my actual Galaxy Note 10, the phone I'm still using since 2024. it runs well for 6-7 years old phone. (Do Not Do The Trend!!!)

My 5inch phone has 4100 mah battery and it's only 8.5mm thick! Moreover it was made 3 years ago. Samsung could've put 5k+ mah battery

Yeah, managed to resist the ReMarkable --- the Kindle made the grade (rather than an Onyx BooX or something similar) because I already had a Paperwhite and I was pretty sure I could just default to e-book reading and get a decent value. That said, my next tech indulgence is a toss-up between either a Daylight Computer, or a Movink Pad. The DC seems like to the closest thing to a Newton alternative (other than a cell phone w/ a stylus such as my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+) If I had managed to snag an Axiotron ModBook, I'd almost certainly still be using it w/ Snow Leopard.

Refurbished Wacom One 13 (Gen 1) It allows me to use my MacBook in the same way that I use my other devices --- with a stylus, so writing/annotation/drawing are perfectly natural, and it's also easy to move from device-to-device: - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ - Kindle Scribe - Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 Looking at upgrading to either the new Touch edition or a Wacom Movink 13 (I just wish the latter was high-resolution, or the Cintiq's didn't use a different stylus technology).

That is a big disappointment --- for a while it looked as if everyone would standardize on the new generation of Wacom EMR (w/ 4096 pressure levels) so that a Staedtler Noris Digital or Lamy Wacom EMR stylus works w/ a wide variety of devices --- I use them on: - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ - Kindle Scribe - Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 - Wacom One (attached to my MacBook) and I couldn't count the number of styluses I have floating around my home/office.

When I first got my first cell phone (a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+), I found the idea of multiple pages of apps off-putting, so deleted everything which didn't seem necessary, and what couldn't be deleted moved into the various extant folders. I've kept with this since, and hope to never need another phone (when this one dies, I'll just get a small camera, or a tablet with a rear camera).

I bought this phone back in late 2023 and it"s hands down the best phone i have ever had. I love how you can swap the motherboard in case your main board stops functioning but that rarely happens.

My dad still uses Note 10. I gave it to him when I upgraded to S22 Ultra. We still use both and the Note 10 still works better than some midrange or budget phones.

I've had my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 so long, they're at 23 now? When I update someday, I assume it'll do all the same things, minus the card slots, audio jack, no stylus pen. I'm keeping my Note 10 as long as possible.

My note 10 plus has the micro SD card slot and btw is capable of handling a terabyte so I bought one. I'm looking for a genuine Samsung brand replacement battery if anyone has a link.

I presently use a S24U as my main driver but curious one day I took out a bunch of old phones to play. Long story short da Note received a security patch for July 2025 but the OS stuck on 12, the feel of the phone is satisfying tho. Also da iPhone 11 pro max is rockin ios 18 and might get 19. Both good secondary or thirdiary phones imo

The back of my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ just kinda came off. Apparently it's not supposed to do that, i put it back but like, idk if it wasn't supposed to be that easy, why'd it happen? Sounds like my phone unlocked itself a new feature!

I bought it with 5g two days ago at $270 cuz my older not10 + non 5g screen was a little broken cuz it was fallen so i will stick to boteh till it can't be used ,love note 10+ so much

Got this when it came out, broke it and got a note 20 that now doesn't work. I'm honestly considering getting the note 10 again as I didn't get to fully enjoy it and love the slightly curved screen edges.

The Note 10 I think is still an excellent phone in hardware quality, even I thought that the Galaxy S8 is an excellent phone. Even though they are behind in software updates, they still have app support, so the vast majority of apps will still run on Android 9 or 12.

I got a samsung galaxy note 10+ recently and it came with one! Was thrilled when I realized it had pressure sensitivity. It's so tiny, so it's taking a lot of getting used to feel-wise, but it's so convenient.

Had the Note 10 + since day one then my wife cracked the screen....Now I just re-bought one brand new on AMAZON May 2022 and received it yesterday. [...]

I got the Smaller Note10 myself as easier to pocket, use in one hand etc. I was a bit sceptic of the screen but 1080p is what I have them set to anyways (even QHD Screens) as better battery and games run a bit better as not pushing a QHD+ Screen.

My little hands can't do the 10+ so it is nice to have a smaller phone for once. -woman using a note 10 lol

I hate how they make these cheaper versions of flagships lose features just to make you consider spending more or settling for less. How did removing sd card slot help making the price go down ? it's there just to make you think about the better version, it's still expensive as hell god damn it they could just leave it there. But then nobody would really probably want the more expensive one just because of few gimmicks. Same with headphone jack, how is it possible that phone that expensive as note 10 plus doesn't have it ? [...]

I wish the note 10 had iPhone XS Max type colors, it just makes the phone look more premium rather than cd 💿 type colors which looks plasticky and doesn’t look premium and classy

My husband had the note 8 and I had the Galaxy S8. A big reason why I got the Note 10 instead of the 10+ was that I have smaller hands and my husband always flexed the S pen and I was just annoyed so now I have it too on a Note that's fun sized for my hands and comfort. Also love that Aura glow!

Unfortunately, Samsung had me spoiled in WQHD display since I got the S7, I don't think I can go back to a 1080p display. And the fact that I consume a lot of content in 1440p contributes to that too.

I bought A30 with 6.4" AMOLED screen for $180 from Amazon .. it is more than I need... watch YouTube, email, text and netflix..
