Samsung Galaxy A40

i just got one and apparently you don t get light notification when you get messages on Whatsapp, so you basically have to unlock the phone to see if you got new messages. Is that right ? If that is the case don t make my same mistake, don t get this phone!!

[...] I have got the Galaxy A40 myself it's a fantastic compact phone the screen is a work of art, the rest of the phone is Galaxy's best also even really great back cover. Now onto the phones sound, for the stuff, you never get told or get to hear. There are in Settings several headings for your sounds. You have Dolby Atmos for surround sound for earphones along with an Uscaler for your Bit readings @ Bit Bandwidth both to switch on for fantastic loud surround sound ok. [...] In your sound and volume etc you will also find the usual switch on for Bass plus rock plus classic etc, but here is the fun side of this phone, it asks you a range of different human ages and when you press yours it alters the sound to match your hearing etc, The really fantastic hearing part is it has a setting whereby the phone ACTUALLY GIVES YOU A HEARING TEST you press Yes or No when you hear the beeps and your hearing range is taken care of. Next, it also has an actual Equalizer to take care of the phone's lower sound range also I found if you wear earbuds or in-ear stereo headphones the sound is very loud and really very good UNLIKE WEARING OVER THE EAR expensive headphones that are not really suitable for mobile phones,you do get a lower volume so don't wear them if you want really great sound.

I find it is hard to use the lower volume+power button t0 take a screenshot on the galaxyA40. It doesn't feel functional at the buttons, however, I use a screenshot app. Camera is decent. Sound I don't know . Battery life in Samsung is not always the most extensive.

I've got this phone for almost 2 years and I've got multiple issues with it.

i got it for £105 ($144) on ebay 2 years later renewed from a trusted seller. still a top phone i just wish they would update the android version since its a 2019 phone. don't plan on replacing it for at least another year!

How do you connect this phone to a TV or projector? I bought a USB-C to HDMI cable. But no signal on on TV or projector?

I use my A40 for mobile gaming i play also on pc but its solid i have rare lags

I have just bought this phone and was very disappointed that there is no notification on the screen for messages and emails . If I don’t hear the phone I don’t know if I have a message, if I had known this I would not have bought this phone .

Aorrtime has AOD and notification round the notch plus it does have slow mo video and there's and update free easy to install sorry bout that but mine just out Box and Hass everything you said it didn't!? lol

The a series is amazing. But i have a j8 that sounds great for audio separation.. and yes it is the last j series phone

How does this have face recognition but my Google Pixel 3 XL doesn't :(

I got a A40 for christmas after not having a phone for 7 months because my shid iphone proccesorr went corrup

I was really hoping for stellar battery life with the weaker processor, but it looks like Samsung skimped slightly on this phone. This would have been perfect with dual speakers and a more efficient processor.

I have the A40 but I cant seem to find the option to make the like "control bar" or what you call it to come down from anywhere on the screen. Same with "lift to wake" option which I want, that feature is also missing on my device but available to others? All help is appreciated 🙌

Finally a nice looking 5.9" phone but why did they decide to remove always on option from screen when it doesnt even have led notification is beyond me. Everything else on this phone is great for the price.
