I bought a Razer Blade 14 as my recent upgrade from a 2070 to a 4070 and new processor. Traveling more than I ever have, don’t regret it one bit and I dock it when I’m at home. Pick up and play anywhere Gaming laptops have changed so much for the better in tech and power

I try not to buy laptops that aren't Thinkpads or Apple tbh. I bought my wife a Yoga and felt mildly uncomfortable about doing so. As much as it makes my gorge rise, the Razer Blade 14" has an 8xxx AMD and discrete graphics, and they do at least know how to make a laptop that doesn't suck?

G14 is hands down one of my favorite laptops, I just wish I had the LED matrix model to poke around with for giggles

Glossy display is the only way! Matt display is absolutely stupid! I have tested both in every scenario I can think of in terms of lighting and the matt display looses every single time! There is a reason every single macbook has a glossy display and always has! Matt displays diffuse the reflections making it even worse if you are trying to use the thing outside or in a room with a a bright back light like say a bright window! People look at a glossy diplay when it is switched off and see reflections and freak out and think they're going to be using a laptop or screen that behaves like a mirrior! [...] Pretty much every single cellphone in exeistence has a glossy screen and no one has complained about those have they? [...] This whole matt vs gloss argument is old and needs to stop, the anti reflective coating on all these devices these days are excellent and when the screen is on the reflections are pretty much non existent! I have a XMG laptop with 16" LCD display with a matt finish and I have an oled C2 48" screen that I use as my monitor, That matt display on the laptop is fkn irritating as fk when I try use it in my study during the day with sunlight coming into the room and hitting the white wall behind me, that matt display diffuses that reflection making the screen unuseable unless I angle the laptop differently. My oled with glossy display doesn't bat and eyelid, I can use it just fine and simply don't notice the reflection at all and I can't change the angle of that screen as it's mounted to the wall! My iphone 13 pro max with a glossy oled screen I seem to be able to use outside in bright sunlight with the sun shinning directly on the screen and I have no issues using it. [...] The colours and picture quality of a glossy display is leaps and bounds better than any matt display because of physics! [...]

TECH PEOPLE I have a request - I am trying to deshittify my experience with Windows 11 on my laptop (Razer Blade 14" 2023 w/RTX4070) I tried Ubuntu and Zorin installations but ran into driver issues. I miss Win7, somebody any recommendations for bettering my Win11 experience? windows techhelp
