quantized + offload I have an RX 6700 XT with 12gb vram and 64gb system ram. running dense models like 27b is difficult, but i can run IQ4/IQ5 qwen 122b-a10b or 35b-a3b at 20tok/s

You don't need to store all the hashes, just the Distinguished Points[1]. It took me a couple of days on a single AMD RX6700XT desktop GPU, using some negligible amount of RAM (it was a few GB of main system memory iirc). [1]

AMD RX 6700 XT from 2021 only has DP1.4 (but HDMI 2.1). Dell U5226KW from 2026 only has DP1.4 (but HDMI 2.1). I don't think I have seen anything above DP1.4 in the wild for now.
pcpartpicker.com/list/Gst9MV This is my build. I went with the gigabyte mobo because I've had trouble with msi mobos recently (but that was am4). and replace graphics card with XFX Speedster SWFT309 AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT CORE Gaming Graphics Card with 12GB GDDR6 but not sure how that's working out.
