Despite the broken screen it still feels and looks like a more premium device than my Pixel 9 Pro XL in terms of hardware, but the software really went down hill after the switch to the OPPO software. Now I want rid of the pixel because they destroyed battery life with an update in march they've still not fixed.

Purchased Pixel 9 Pro XL, didn't get my year of Gemini or Google One, technical missuport couldn't be bothered circling between all the investigation steps I did and re-did already and tej "fixes" that have been verified ate not fixing anything. "Support" agents couldn't be bothered - this feels like AI trapping me in the tarpit maze to save a few USD on the disk storage and infefence cost, effectively scamming me.

Pixel 9 Pro XL ("What can you see?"; photo of small monitor displaying stats in my home office) 1st token: 7.48s Prefill speed: 35.02 tokens/s Decode speed: 5.72 tokens/s Latency: 86.88s It did a pretty good job, the photo had lots of glare and was at a bad angle and a distance, with small text; it picked out weather, outdoor temperature, CO2/ppm, temp/C, pm2.5/ug/m^3 in the office; Misread "Homelab" as "Household" but got the UPS load and power correctly, Misread "Homelab" again (smaller text this time) as "Hereford" but got the power in W, and misread "Wed May 21" on the weather map as "World May 21". I'm using Fennec (a Firefox fork on F-Droid) and a Pixel 9 Pro XL, and it takes around 8 seconds at difficulty 4. Personally, I don't think the UX is that bad since I don't have to do anything. I definitely prefer it to captchas.

I have it on my Pixel 9 Pro XL right now and have had it since the end of January. Worked well so far for me in the country where Tmo typically has had dead spots, if not a little slow.

Good Lord my battery health is almost perfect on my Pixel 9 Pro XL but I guess having over 200 stupid apps makes is charge slow lol at 93% finally from 82% when I first started posting and my watch is finally at 98% lol

Part of last night's sunset rainbow after the storms along Interstate 71 South near Grove City. My phone's automatic color balance wasn't having a good time, but this orange hue is about right. This is the 1:1 crop of the main sensor that the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL camera app does at 10x zoom.

Although I've had small ups and downs, I have to say I've achieved unprecedented productivity with my Google Pixel 9 Pro XL. ❤️

It took owning a pixel 9 pro XL for me to go "hmmm..." Because it felt the closest to a physical keyboard to me in a long time. I bought a clicks keyboard case, finally understood what I was missing with mechanical keyboards & the wired headphones has been my jam for a while now.

I like mine. I have a pixel 9 pro xl. I bought it through my carrier Mint Mobile, no complaints with their service.

Testing out the new desktop mode on my Pixel 9 Pro XL. I never used Samsung DeX, so can’t really compare. I will say this is night and day better than just plugging my phone in and mirroring the screen and/or the previous clunky workarounds in developer settingsto try to approximate a desktop mode.

Yes, I understand. The big long lens is pretty much the only thing I keep attached to my real camera these days. For things like landscapes, and even macro shots, I usually like the results from my phone (Pixel 9 pro XL) better.

I use my long lens and "real" camera for wildlife photography. But for just about everything else, I actually prefer my phone (Pixel 9 pro XL)

I have a Sony a7rIV and a Pixel 9 Pro XL. Post-editing there are a few pictures I've taken with my phone that hold up against a camera with a full frame 61MP sensor lol

I toyed with the idea (my daughters all have iPhones and would love to convince me). But then I got a Pixel 9 Pro XL for literally $200 (T-Mobile gave me $600 to trade on an old Pixel 6). I think I'm pretty locked into Google at this point.

I'm tempted to get one to replace my very cracked Pixel 9 Pro XL. With all the incentives Google offers for Google Fi customers it's not all that expensive. [...] Gemini is bad enough, I don't need Bixby and whatever else. Not to mention I would have to pay full price.

As someone who was a big OnePlus fan from the 3 era to the 9 Pro, I saw the decline, I moved over when Nexus died, and had used a mixed bag before then. OnePlus was on the decline and it was clear it wouldn't be a contender for much longer here in the UK, especially when they merged OSs with the OPPO (?) OS, and software quality went through the floor. I moved to Pixels and currently have a Pixel 9 Pro XL which I'm looking to change as they destroyed the battery life with the march update and it still hasn't been resolved. The Pixel has been solid otherwise and performance is still excellent, but I can't abide having my phone entering battery saver every day by late afternoon. [...]

As you're working with the OEM, I hope you'll consider a model which will come with either an IPS screen or is compatible with a 3rd party IPS replacement. I have the X4 and it fits on the back of my Pixel 9 Pro XL. EDIT: I use a "MagSafe" case.

Got a new Pixel 9 Pro XL so far it operates just like the old one, but I've had it for only a few hours. Let's see how it handles overall in time
