I've had my Pixel 10 Pro for almost a year, and through ups and downs, it is still the phone I use more than any other.

I've had my Pixel 7 since 2022, and i don't feel any need to get a new phone. I probably won't update until this phone breaks or the software updates end.

I got a new Pixel 10 Pro a few months ago and immediately installed GrapheneOS. It's all been good, but I can no longer use Strava on that phone and I'm looking for a Strava replacement. As far as tap-to-pay goes, I still carry around a few credit cards with RFID chips, which I trust more than any mobile payment method.

I paid £499 for my pixel 10 pro 128gb about three months ago here in the UK,also got buds pro 2 free by redemption and the 12 months free Gemini pro with storage. I'm happy with it at that price but I would not call it a flagship phone,it's more midrange and it sits nicely in that price range,the build quality and aesthetics are fantastic but the running gear is midrange,but adequate for the price I paid. I just wish Google would stop giving us buggy updates,don't they actually test the software before they release it. [...]

Yeah I don’t see myself paying a $200 a month tax to Google for inference anymore like OAI or A\ would get out of me. I’m happy with a Google AI Pro sub for free that came with a Pixel 10 Pro. I occasionally use it.

I’m in the process of switching from an iPhone to Graphene on a pixel 10 Pro. I can load apps from the web (disabled by default iirc), the local file system, a sandboxed instance of the Play store, Obtainium, f-droid, wherever. Took some getting used to, but it’s nice feeling like I actually control and can choose how my phone works.

In photos after you can toggle between the AI modified and original. The original isn't as blurry as the preview shown - there's still a lot of image stacking happening and it's often very decent in my experience. Edited to add: I have a pixel 10 pro which has a better zoom lens, so I could be having a different experience than you...

My recently-purchased Google Pixel 10 Pro has an unlockable bootloader. (Although it may be locked if you buy it through a provider). And, for a nominal one-time payment, you can register as a developer, and compile, install and run absolutely anything you want on a non-rooted Android phone with a locked bootloader (within the constraints of the security system, which is, of course, A Good Thing).

I assume Gemini 3.1 Flash is probably competitive or better, but I didn't try it, since I liked the results the self-hosted Gemma 4 was giving for free. [...] Both run at comfortable interactive speed mid-range tablets. E4B is blazing fast on an iPad M4 or Pixel 10 Pro and entirely usable on a midrange Android with sufficient RAM.

For me this is the perfect timing. Just this week I was fed up with my iPhone (and most of the Apple ecosystem) and bought a Google Pixel 10 Pro.

The Gemma models really are amazing. I was on a flight a few days ago and used E2B to do some basic research on the place I was going to, running the model locally on my Pixel 10 Pro. It gave me basically the same as Gemini or ChatGPT would do when I landed

Yeah it's far from being as good as a DLSR or mirrorless with a dedicated macro lens. Still, most people reading HN have one in their pocket and it can be a good test to see if you like the idea of macro. It does work with larger insects, on a pixel 10 pro my mantis fill most of the frame.

From Google Pixel 10 Pro (been using Pixels since the Pixel 2) to iPhone 17 Pro Max. Pixels have been getting worse with each model, and there are lingering issues that won’t go away (crappy WiFi, overheating, Android Auto rebooting constantly, etc).

I like my pixel 10 pro XL ,finally they fixed the weakness of the 8 pro i had. I am satisfied while it isnt perfect, its not a piece of shit how some people try to tell me. I have a question, do you really have the 4 icons grid at the homescreen? I tried it and always come back to the 5 icons grid. What are the reasons to keep the bigger icons?

I just returned my S26 Ultra after two weeks and kept my Pixel 10 Pro just because of the software.

Every brand has its pros and cons, but the Pixel 10 Pro just feels like the most well-rounded and complete package overall except for heavy gaming, which I don't do on a phone anyway. I do wish it had a more efficient SoC, a larger battery, and better video quality, but for what matters most to me, it checked all the boxes. You helped turn me onto the Pixel 10 pro XL and I am loving it 2 weeks later, so swift, clean and easy to use, good experience. I had the S24Plus and t was a good phone enjoyed it but this has such a great experience, thanks again. I'd advise anyone thinking of switching to a pixel 10 pro xl or even the new 11 pro xl, well DO IT, still has that android experience and syncs with everything, another added bonus is the free year to Google One premium with the 5TB storage upgrade and brilliant to use apps.

I bought a Google Pixel 10 Pro just for GrapheneOS and it's been fantastic. You have total control over your phone and its hardware, lots of nice security and privacy features, and I'm not harassed by the AI Gemini. Highly recommend De-googling your android phones.
