I mean if bsb2 is an option then I'm assuming price is not an issue, I've had my pico 4 pro for almost 4 years with no issues at all, I'll definitely wait on the next one even if it's a bigger investment

90% of screen door effect disappeared when we switched from pen-tile OLED to ordinary RGB matrix. The remaining 10% still remained with the HP Reverb and the Pico 4 which I've used quite a bit, so it's not a solved issue but it's a world of difference from the old Vive or Quest 1 if that's your reference frame. ("pancake lenses" is a similar upgrade over the old fresnel lenses)

The Pico 4 is actually a really good headset. It's not officially released in the US market, but can be imported from EU sellers, which is how I got mine. I'm using a Pico 4 with Il-2, no assists. Dials are 100% a non-issue (headset resolution has been good enough to read them easily for years). Spotting and recognition are fine.

Same, I bought a PICO 4 E as a back up. I'd rather deal with whatever pain it takes to set that up rather than deal with Meta's trash fire.

When I got a VR headset at the end of 2024 I got the Pico 4 as it was the same price as a Quest 3S without the Meta bs.

yeah everything just works, its really nice, the only one I know that needs tweaking is GTAV/GTAO since they ended linux support at all (officially) via battleeye. the only other thing I need to set up is ALVR or WinVR so I can use my Pico 4 on linux (i got it setup on windows already)

Well the Quest 2 was the first i've ever gotten, i got it when it released, The Pico 4 devkit i recieved for free from pico because i'm such an awesome programmer, The first index i bought from my first salary, and the 2nd is a free rma from valve, So i only really paid for 2 ;P

Virtual Desktop has improved SO much over the years. For wireless play, it's usually a couple steps ahead of any official link software on Quest or Pico 4. I got a new stock router from my ISP recently and it's good enough to give me 30-40ms latency on wireless play, which is effectively nil.

I have a pico 4, it feels like it was made for Asian noses because the nose part is too small and digs in to mine. My unit also had mura. Ultimately I switched to quest 3 and i find the lenses better and its more comfortable

i just tested now (my phone camera is not the best and i didnt have much time) but i did a comparison between my psvr2, pico 4 ultra and pico 3 neo link with this camera is really hard to discern the differences aside from a greater contrast in color with the psvr2, but the grain is really notable

I'm quite sure the headset was stolen lol (had a bunch of NHS apps on it when I got it) also it didn't come with any controllers (so I ended up buying a regular pico 4 bc it was cheaper than buying the controllers on their own)
