Nothing Phone (3)

After 6 months I have a ghost image burned into my screen. Thought that was just crappy TVs that done that but nooo it's a nothing phone 3

Honestly, I never thought the Nothing Phone 3 was ugly. Nor did I think it was overpriced. So I bought it when it released. But half a year later...I regret it. It overheats a lot. Seriously, it has a major overheating problem. [...] Its battery is nothing to write home about. [...] The almost 7 year old phone has a better camera, better performance, and I'll find myself using it still. [...] I had hoped it would be as revolutionary as the old OnePlus before they sold their soul, but it's not worth it. Just get a Samsung or something cheaper.

I've had mine for about 6 months as well. [...] I personally always use Presets for my pictures and I think overall my snaps come out better than my wife's Pixel 10 Pro. Hers does take better natural portraits without any presets or adjustments, but hardware wise, I think the NP3 has slightly better cameras. Bought one and gets damaged after few months not fixable and no global warranty all my data gone

This is a great smartphone, I've been using it for 3 months, I'm fine with everything, the camera is normal, there's enough processor, nothing slows down, the design stands out. And it fits perfectly in your hand.

I had this phone for a year. I would say the only downside is the weight.

My Nothing Phone 3 also heats up when I use MX Player or VLC. 😭 I can’t even watch movies properly without worrying about the phone getting hot.

1st geniune video I saw after watching 20s of videos of Indian youtuber. Completely agree with all the points as I myself have purchased this device in India last month on heavy discount 423 USD to be precise. For the amount I purchased it's a bang of the bucks.

I've just opened this phone today and after previously being a OnePlus addict and used to actually sell them. This phone has made me love mobile phones again. Is doesn't need all the best spec. It's very original and cool 😎 retro glyph functions. I'm so pleased

I got phone 3 12/256 @35.5K in the sale. It's a steal at that price

Has anyone else tried using a privacy screen protector? [...] It just says "clean the screen around the sensor".

Many phones have secondry displays to be a little more functional, but end up gimmiky. This is not the case with nothing, the matrix is not a secondry displays and wasn't intended to be, it's an upgrade over the glyph interface from the older phones. It whole job is to give u important details which u might miss if u want focus and it does it really well, if u want some extra fun gimmiks then u can head to the nothing playground website where u can download more stuff the community has created, I'm telling this from experience as I own one of these and it hasn't let me down till now

I just got the phone 3 with 16/512GB for 575 Euro in Germany. Comparded to the S25 with 512GB for around 780 Euro. And i really like the design and the OS :)

Never understood the "doesnt pull you in" part of it as its a huge phone you can not forget yii have in your pocket. If this was a 6.1" phone i would buy it the second it came out as i dont care how it looks to other people but im locked to base S series because i hate big phones. Ive got so many screens in my life that i dont want to have

Gonna pay off my phone which is a Nothing Phone 3 and sell it and go back to Samsung, honestly not enjoying this phone much.

My current fav thing about my Nothing Phone 3 is how the glyph matrix shows the position of the Sun with the 2 hemisphere—just by looking at the back of my phone I can make out what sign is rising and map the rest of the chart in my mind hehe

They completely lost my respect when they refused to return or exchanged my nothing phone 3a Pro when their latest update made my SIM card unusable. I bought the phone brand new from their site and they told me I fell under the "Beta purchase" they couldn't repair or replace my phone. Yeah never buying their phones again.

I appreciate all the information. I think some people look at phone progression going from year to year changes and upgrades. When your phone is more than 2 or 3 years old, even small changes are big. I have never bought the big name phones. I went from HTC to OnePlus to Nothing. I didn't like having what everyone else has. I liked the glyphs, but I think this matrix will be fun, too. Phones are boring. I like quirky. It's all about preference. I think it's fun. To each their own!

The essential button has been an eye opener. I like you have taken accidental screenshots but unlike you I have found it useful for sending things that I have found to myself. It was an upgrade from my old phone but the main reason I bought the phone was because even though it was classed as flagship they have now dropped the price to more midrange prices. Therefore you are getting a nearly flagship phone for a midrange price. [...]

I currently have the nothing phone 2, considering upgrading, though im struggling to reason why I need to as the 2 does everything and the battery is fine, but the look and processor makes me want to overlook the 3. Maybe the 4a pro is better? Oh a big bug bare for me on the 2 is the keyboard not showing quite a bit and for some reason when I swipe sometimes it catches the brightness and dims to nothing which is really annoying but I’ve always loved how different they look ( I have the 1 as well and its still in mint condition), they feel collectible to me.

I just purchased the 3 for the same price as the new 4a pro on amazon since it's on sale, I'm not sure i would've bought it at the regular 800, but for 600 it seems like a device that compromises just a little on a couple of things rather than a midrange phone that just has one or two annoying shortcomings, plus longer os support compared to buying the 4a pro even if not quite pixel level (google be pmo lately though so i'm tired of my pixel)

I never use essential spaceon Nothing phone 3a, I'll change it function to other thing using button mapper.

The rattling sound is the OIS (optical image stabilization), because you're not using the camera app it's not activated so it rests. Then when you shake it, it makes that sound. [...] Though the sound of the rattle on your unit does sound significantly louder, while the rattles I've been hearing on the Pixel 9 Pro we're just subtle faint ones, and it didn't really made any changes to the pictures/videos he took. I also have this rattling sound but it's normal to have it especially since it's just a faint one, & I've figured out which lense it was. [...] The faint rattle on my Phone (3) continues even when I'm in the camera app, though if I switch to 3x or higher, the rattles disappears which means the OIS has been actived, & given that 3x zoom and higher uses the telephoto, it means it's the OIS of the telephoto that's making that sound.
