I have been using a MX Master 3 (non-S), and an MX Anywhere 2S for the past few years on a daily basis, on multiple devices (Windows, MacOS and Linux). Bluetooth has been working flawlessly every time. [...] If you don't want the dongle, why not just connect via Bluetooth?

For mice, I've really liked the Logitech MX Master 3 I've had for 5ish years. Super comfortable and some neat features too.

About $40. And yes, there's a large performance and durability difference. Says a guy that's been using a Logitech MX Master 3 mouse (about $100) for more than 10 years.

I have an original, non-BT MX Revolution that I keep rehabilitating periodically with batteries and pads (the sites call them "skates") for my laptop-dock workstation so there's no pairing issues. Also have an MX Master 3 Advanced for travel, USB-C charges, and supports switching between 3 BT devices with an optional USB transceiver that stores away, and it also works on iOS devices but that's really more of a gimmick.

I brought my MX Master 3 to a brand new Mac mini and was terribly confused. [...] Keyboard isn't much better, since Apple encourages you to bring your own keyboard, but doesn't even ship a keymap for PC keyboards.

I'm a very happy user of SteerMouse for years now. The logitech app was very unstable (and increasingly bloated) to just be able to customize a couple of things for the MX Master 3. SteerMouse does all that, is hidden away in preferences where it belongs, and It Just Works™

amazingly, perhaps, on my laptop, i have a touchpad AND a perfectly viable 3 button button zone. I do love the "real" mouse i use on my desktop system (logitech mx master 3), but there's no reason why a laptop can't "natively" support both mouse button and touchpad interaction styles.

Here’s how I do it now, three machines two are linux and one is windows: I use Logetic MX master 3 mouse, it can connect to three devices via Bluetooth, if I need to switch from one to another, I click a button in bottom to switch it to the next one, and being wireless is very handy since one machine is far away from where I sit and it’s connected to a big screen.

My mouse and keyboard are both usb-c and I wasn't specifically looking for usb-c when I ordered either of them. Logitech MX Master 3 and Keychron Q1. [...]

I dug out a Logitech MX Master 3 that I bought years ago and never used because scrolling the scroll-wheel too fast decelerates the scroll completely (and sometimes starts scrolling the other way).

every time i see a youtuber with a logitech MX Master 3 I feel like part of the cool smartguy in-group. I bought one before i knew everyone loved them and that makes me soooo smart

The Logitech mx master 3 has a rather pleasant gesture interface (e.g. you can click a button and move the mouse to do something -- i use it to close/reopen tabs and move forward/backwards

I loved my Performance MX. I finally had to replace it at work (software wouldn't install after migrating to Windows 11) and the MX Master 3 I got seems much ergonomically worse to me. I also am not a fan of the thumb wheel replacing buttons. [...] My sister in law gave me her G700S to fix the main button microswitches, and she convinced me that it's the apotheosis of the design - it's what should have replaced the Performance MX. No soft-touch plastic, extra buttons, and the higher resolution sensor. [...]

I got a Logitech MX Master 3 clone from Amazon for 1/4 the price of the one I have because it started turning off at random times, and I didn’t want to be left without a mouse on vacation. I immediately noticed it doesn’t have a thumb button, which I use all the time.
