I have had kobo libra 2 for a couple of years and it's dope AF, it's my third e-reader and finally one without any real flaws with formatting and the fonts are so crisp. This colour one seems like a supercharged version, it's tempting to get!

I love Kobo more than Kindle. I switched in 2022 and I will never use anything but kobo

I’ve had a Kindle for more than a decade, but have switched to the Kobo Libra Colour. It’s a much friendlier and more tactile device, and I’m reading so much more on it.

I couldn't resist the upgrade. I've had my Kobo Libra H20 for nearly 5 years (I bought it when it was released) and though it's still working very well, the upgrades for the Kobo Libra Colour were just too tempting. Find me with my nose in an e-reader?

I have a Bigme Galy, that uses a Gallery 3 display, as well as a Kobo Libra Colour, which uses a Kaleido 3 display. I regret buying the Kobo Libra Colour, solely because of the display. You pretty much need the backlight on any time it isn't in direct sunlight, and even then the contrast is worse than a first-generation monochrome E Ink display, and the saturation is pretty low. [...] The Bigme Galy display works in the same lighting as monochrome displays, with nearly as good of contrast. Saturation with primary colors (cyan, magenta, and yellow) is excellent, and with secondary colors it's not as good but still better than the Kaleido display. [...] The Gallery display does take several times longer to refresh in full color mode, but it has a monochrome mode that refreshes at a similar rate to monochrome eink displays on ebook readers, so you get dynamically chose between color or speed. Both ereaders have laughably bad software, so that didn't have a net affect on my preferences.

They're also intentionally repairable! I've got a Kobo Libra Colour which is a newer model, and its product page links to ifixit. I love it so much.

The Kobo Libra Colour has the best UX of a device I own, in that it's completely invisible. I can just read my damn books, highlight passages I think are noteworthy and save words I like the sound of. Everything just works, and the high seas experience is seamless.

My Kobo Libra Colour combined with Kavita (a much saner organization than the mess that is calibre), Tailscale (OPDS access to Kavita from anywhere) , and KoReader (power user reader for the perfect reading experience that supports every format I have tried) has transformed my reading. Under $100: Pilot g-tec pens and an electric toothbrush. Under $1k: - HHKB hybrid type-s, I love this keyboard; - Kobo libra colour, for the integration with Libby in Canada. I also like that Kobo gives me points with each purchase, which can be used to get more books.

Yeah, totally fair. Read what you want, how you want. My preference is either my iPad Mini or my Kobo Libra Colour depending on what I'm reading or if I want to stash something small in a day bag.

A few weeks ago I left my Kobo in the seat back pocket when disembarking from an airplane, and Delta actually found it — I got it back today. Neat! Of course I had already bought a new Kobo Libra Colour to replace it, but my existing one was the black and white Sage, so I'll probably keep both 😬

Oooh looks like I originally bought the box sets on kindle — time to re-buy! I bought the individual titles so I get aaaaallllll the gorgeous covers, since I had to buy a kobo libra colour to replace the kobo sage I left on an airplane last week anyway (adhd + early am flights is not a good combo)

I've had this Kobo Libra Colour for 4 weeks now, have used it nearly every day and...the battery life is absolutely bonkers. I've not charged it once since I got it and it's STILL at 71%. I love this thing.

Been using e-readers since 2010 (mostly Kindles, but switched to a Kobo Libra Colour last year), and for travel purposes they absolutely beat carrying a stack of physical books. Takes almost no bag space, doesn’t require much charging even with constant use, and easier on the eyes than a phone.

Kobo is the android and kindle is the iPhone 😂. I've never owned the kindle but the kobo libra color is awesome since I can get almost every book i want, for free99😂

I have both the Kobo Libra 2 and Kindle PW5, and I love the Kobo more. It has higher storage and it's easier to sideload books. Now, I'm looking forward to buy Kobo Libra Colour too 😍

I have both the Kindle Paperwhite and the Kobo Libra (the previous black and white screen) and I tend to use the Libra more, due to its super comfortable form factor, which is way ahead of the Kindle one.
