My iPhone 15 Pro Max, first use on September 2023 is at 98% capacity. Charged mostly on a wireless charger and the charge limit set to 80%.

[...] I bought a an iPhone 15 Pro Max few months ago and compared it to my S10+ which I bought in 2019 and still have. There's practically no difference for regular day to day stuff, except for the camera advancements which are notable (but not night & day either). It was only the frustrating battery life, and desire to enter the superior iPhone camera ecosystem that forced me to upgrade.

Love this phone I have a white 1tb. Had it for over a year I don’t see no point of upgrading I plan on getting a 19 pro max right before the 20 comes out maybe.

I have one and it feels brand new. Hard to believe it's nearly 3 years old

Mines at 98% and dropped from 99% with iOS 18 beta and I’ve had mine since September of last year :) with 80% max charge enabled

After having the 14pro I still can’t get over how much I like the 15 pros edges and weight almost a year later it’s still noticeably better

i am also fisrt use on late october 15promax now i'm at 220 cycles and i used 80% limit since day 1 now i'm at 98% so yeah it works. the cyclr count lower maybe due to having 80% limit and it entice you to stay off your phone alill bit more which helps. i fast charge with 30W macbook charger and cable and i always check by picking up the phone if it's hot i take it off the case and hold it in my hand until it's cooled down (i do use my phone while charging too)

I’ve had mine for about 3 months now and I haven’t ran into a single one of these issues. In fact, I’m loving this device so far. I went from the 13 pro max to the 15 pro max, so it’s not like it was that far of a jump but I’ve been pleasantly impressed with the phone and the hardware/software upgrades.

I think we 15 pro max users can go and we also got all ai features unlike 14s but the problem is apple stops updating every 5 years i think so if you love new os your cooked around 2-3 years later

[...] The unspoken implication here is that if your phone still retains 80% after 1000 cycles, then it’s probably so old and obsolete by then that battery replacement would be a silly waste of time, so why burden people with these “onerous rules” in that case. [...] My iPhone 15 Pro Max is in dire need of a battery replacement, at 82% after only 714 cycles. Aside from the battery, I have literally zero motivation to replace this phone. The phone manufacturers hate the idea that the battery might get replaced, because in this day and age it’s pretty much the only reason a 2 to 3-year-old phone (especially a flagship) isn’t extremely adequate for 99% of the population.

What about iOS 26 kept you away? I was hesitant when I got APP3, but was pleasantly surprised by how many longstanding issues with responsiveness and functionality it fixed for me (iPhone 15 Pro Max user).

1) My Bluetooth audio on my recent-model iPhone (15 Pro Max) is still flaky AF, across all Bluetooth speaker devices or my car. I think most software is extremely buggy and it’s about to get much worse… just today several comments just disappeared from YouTube, did they even get written there? Uber has a whole feature about upgrading to Uber Comfort - it’s never worked once for me just gives an error. [...] Google’s UI is broken everywhere, loads of sites including John Lewis don’t seem to scroll on my iPhone 15 Pro Max and the camera still doesn’t work correctly in WhatsApp (macro mode is not automatic) and don’t get me started on how buggy Dynamic Island is etc. [...] There’s just shit buggy software everywhere now and I’m definitely not expecting AI to make the way we build things better.

Or they needed some kind of glossy faux-development to headline the marketing year when Apple AI tanked, and this was the best they could cobble together at relatively short notice. Meanwhile I get regular connection issues on Facetime on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, even though bandwidth isn't a problem here.

4) Advanced voice mode stuttering because it hears its own voice and thinks it’s me interrupting I experience the same issue on an iPhone 15 Pro Max and have to mute the mic whenever I'm listening to a response. I wish they added an option to disable voice interruptions so that it could be interrupted only by touch.

To add to this, I'll try to give an idea of how much zoom (or focal length really) you'd need to get a picture with detail. I took photos of both Jupiter and Saturn w/ a Canon R7 and the RF 100-500mm lens, with a 1.4x extender. [...] In these photos the planets are still just dots. The camera takes 32.5 megapixel photos. When zoomed in to the pixel level, both planets were still tiny, about 50 pixels wide. [...] The iPhone main camera is like 26mm (42x less zoom). The iPhone 13 Pro's telephoto lens is 77mm (14.5x less zoom), and the iPhone 15 Pro Max is 120mm (9.3x less zoom)... so you're unlikely to get much more than what looks like an out of focus few pixel wide dot even on the zoomiest of iPhones, but with that wider 26mm lens, you just might be able to capture them all in one shot. To me, what's more technically impressive than the fact I took pictures of the planets with readily available camera gear was that I did with 1/125s shutter speed, handheld, standing in my yard. Consider responsive design for smaller screen sizes to restyle the sidebar and set a body max-width instead of a width. I just upgraded to the iPhone 15 Pro Max because of the 8GB RAM This is a bad reason to upgrade. If you were supposed to know about it, it'd be in the specs. It's not there to improve performance or be more forward compatible, it's because the camera upgrades need it.

I downgraded from the 17 Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max. Sold my 17 PM to apply the money towards the 18 PM or maybe Ultra coming out in Sept 2026. Use the action button with the shortcuts app. I have my action button remotely start my truck every morning. Very useful if you use it to its potential!

I upgraded from the 15 Pro Max to the 17 Pro Max. Loved the 15 Pro Max but I ran into some extra funds so I opted to buy my 17 Pro Max outright.
