I used my iPhone 8 for exactly 5 years before the battery went to hell. Been on iPhone 14 for 3 years, 9 months and see no reason to upgrade.

My iPhone 14 Plus has 91 perfect battery health and all day battery life even after two years of use coming up on three years i plan to upgrade before long

You pay a 36 month contract and then apple wants you to upgrade as soon as you’ve paid your phone off. iPhone 14 is still good for me, at least another year.

Seriously, Verizon, I'm very happy with the iPhone 14 I bought almost 2 years ago and see no reason to upgrade to an 18.

watching this on my purple 14. 🤭 but i think i’m upgrading to a brand new phone soon though because i’ve had it since 2022. it works fine, but i do want something differently. i had an iphone 11 before my 14, for two years, so.

I’m sick of the iPhone 14 lashings. I’ve had it since 2022 and it’s held up rlly well. Not planning on upgrading till late next year.

I got an iPhone 14 in December last year and just got battery replaced. [...] Getting the fresh battery is a must. I couldn't recommend ANY iPhone over 3 years old if you haven't replaced the battery, that is the killer.

I bought my 14 Plus in late 2022, after almost 4 years i see no reason to upgrade still. My battery is at 83% (will have to replace it soon) and my charging port is broken but i’ll soon repair the charging port and swap the battery in a year than pay for a new phone.

got mine in 2023 and it's shite now. 79% battery life is abysmal

I bought my iPhone 14 6.1 inch blue brand new in June 2025 here in the UK for £499 as I was considering the iPhone 15 but if you’re someone who still prefers the lightning connector to USB-C charging then the iPhone 14 was the better option at the time. I’ve had mine nearly a year and although I use it a lot too it is now on 94% battery health which isn’t all that bad for March 2026 as of writing this review, I don’t really plan to battery replace as you may as well just a new iPhone model but I don’t plan to upgrade until September 2026 - March 2027 mainly as it’s still a good phone and also has 5G so can’t really complain, overall it’s still a good phone for 2026.

I bought this phone brand new back in October 2024 my battery capacity is at 90% I can say it’s a great phone

7 months in and I love my iPhone 14 I will use it till the wheels fall off you know what I’ll upload my YouTube videos from it 😂

A few years old for a phone is getting old like my 14 plus cracked like a months ago I had it for 3 years and it was a great phone but I’m upgrading to the 17 pro max and I’m expecting some major improvements

I have the iPhone 14 and I have had it for 3 years now I do wish the screen was brighter my iPad and Mac are brighter and I don’t even use them outside. Iplan on keeping it until the iPhone 18 Pro and I’m keeping that till 6G and all screen design

Bro i came from a 8 by 8gb vivo , it's just the software that really icked me, it ran perfect the first year, hear I'll just upgrade my battery at the end of the year and call it a couple years before I even think of upgrading

Love my yellow 14 got it in June 2023, battery health is now 87. [...] It's slowed down a little so I don't know if I'm gonna get another battery put in it. It seems like 2 or 3 years is about the most I can go before stuff slows down. Will never forget my green iPhone 5c that slowed down after a year and a half and it literally wouldn't load a Facebook page. I’m still using my iPhone 14 I’ve had it since 2023 and I don’t really have any issues other than connectivity, storage, and battery problems but other than that it’s still running smooth

I got an iPhone 14 in 2024 from Verizon brand new. Battery is at 81 percent and when it does reaches the point of needing to be replace I’m going to go with that option.

My iPhone 14 is 1081 days old, charged every night, battery capacity is reported as 81%. So in Apple's own measurements this is possible. I guess there is some built in spare capacity, but that may still qualify for the exemption?

My iOS app using MapKit is smooth with 4k annotations on an iPhone 14. My experience is that it doesn't really start to choke until you get closer to 10k.

I hope they release a version of these fixes on iOS 18 in a form installable on an iPhone 14; I've been trying to stay away from Liquid Glass until it's actually usable. I really don't want to be forced to upgrade, since Apple seems to have replaced UX testing with "just ship it," as has become standard in the industry.

After iPhone 14, they are remarkably durable in any fall situation. At this point I am like “fuck (perception of) privacy!”. I will just buy the 9a, or Pixel 10a if one releases by the time I switch from my (already large) iPhone 14. At least I won’t have to deal with the never ending shenanigans, the crazy prices, and the very real possibility that if there’s a damage it might be cheaper to buy a new one (in warranty).

Just FYI the text in each screen of the onboarding flow is cut off on my iPhone 14. For example screen 3/3 says "How far have your beans".

I’ve recently noticed this on an especially well used app I have on my iPhone 14 with a stupid animation which regularly annoys me. Google Authenticator’s filter box, when you tap it there is a very noticeable delay after tapping the filter box and the keyboard showing. I'm stupefied by this comment thread. I routinely have meetings where my microphone quality (built-in MacBook Pro or iPhone 14 in speaker mode) is absolute shit and the person on the other side tells me to put on my AirPods, at which point my audio becomes crystal clear for them.

Personally, I don’t use a case on my iPhone 14. I pay Apple every month for Apple Care +. If I break it Apple fixes or replaces it for free

I just got the phone today iPhone 14 from my loving grandparents I had a iPhone SE 2022 for 4 years it was mashed up lol this phone feels so greattttttt so happy with it! Makes me wonder how these new iPhones are and how better they are but I ain’t a phone guy I prefer upgrading my gaming stuff lol

I think Apple has finally hit my iPhone 14 with the “you’ve had this long enough it’s time to upgrade” secret patch. Lots of crashing apps, everything is noticeably slower and I keep getting that “liquid detected in the charging port” error whilst my phone is bone dry. 😭

I mean I’m still rocking an iPhone 14. Probably will upgrade in the spring when they release their new shitty iPhone. I just don’t get a ton of value out of the “latest and greatest” phone features with what I use it for so I tend to stay on older tech longer to save some $.

Still rocking an iPhone 14 and the battery health just dropped to 84% not too long ago. Will replace the battery soon and surprisingly, I haven't had any issues even after jumping into the pool with it in my pocket a couple times. According to Google, the iPhone 14 should be supported for another couple years and could receive security updates until 2030. [...]
