Still on 87% battery health on my iPhone 13 (not mini) that’s approaching 5 years old. Still an awesome phone with great battery life! I don’t plan to update it beyond iOS 18 though, and the Lightning port is becoming more and more of a pain over time.

I have the standard iPhone 13 (not mini) and the battery longevity is probably the best of any phone I've ever owned. At over 3.5 years old it still reports 89% battery health and lasts much longer than I need. Previous iPhones I owned were all pretty much on their last legs by that age. [...]

The iPhone 13 base model was my first iPhone i was impressed with its performance given that i had it for 4 years before upgrading 17 base model. I have since then got the battery replaced and given it to my sister as I believe it still has a few years left in it. This phone is still worth it in my opinion

I won’t lie I’ve had my 13 for almost a year now I don’t know how I’m doing it but I still have max battery health and peak performance I hear people say it’s starting to suck I’m just glad my phone personally seems to be going strong

my iphone 13 in 3 months will be 3yo still almost identical to the day i bought it my battery is at 85% everything works smoothly and i use it like 3h in day it’s amazing

I have the regular 13 and it works well. My batter health is at 89%. I’ve had it for a year as of march. In my opinion you can still use one as long as you take good care of it

I bought a used 13 mini a little over a year ago and it's still a great upgrade from the 6S. I think it's sad that Apple stopped making reasonably sized phones that actually fit in most pockets.

My old iPhone 13 I used to take swimming daily in a salt pool, it was still running fine after 2 years of that, although the contacts in the lightning port did eventually corrode (now I can only charge it wirelessly)

I bought my first a years ago after some awful customer service experiences with Google re: Pixel phones. While iOS is not without its faults, most of the "just works" marketing has thus far turned out to be true in my experience. Their software feature set isn't on the cutting edge for a lot of things (my iPhone 13 couldn't even display the weather on the lock screen when I first got it), but they do generally get there eventually.

Had my iPhone 13 since it came out, would probably keep it if I didn’t have to charge it twice a day at this point but I will say I’m excited to upgrade to a 17 soon

I got a refurbished one in late 2023 and have been running it as my daily driver for 3 years now. Main complaint as you already mentioned is the battery getting about 5 hours of screen on time with 83% health. The time is inflated since I charge this thing whenever I can.

I had my 13 for about four years until I upgraded to the 17. The battery life was too bad so I had to upgrade and I’m glad I did. So I’ll wait another 4 to 5 years to upgrade.

Using a base 13 blue color model that I bought in 2022, apart from battery life degradation the phone have been perfect even on latest ios26. I wish i could roll back to ios18 though. It only overheat and starters on prolonged use on cellular data.

IMHO, one of the reasons I've been delaying an upgrade is because the standard sized iphone 13 ( not even pro ) I've had for a few years now is big enough already, anything larger just would not be ergonomic ( and I have large hands )...

Personally I have zero reasons to upgrade from IPhone 13 until the software stops working. I hope it will last me several years more. Beautiful hardware.

Aesthetically it looks horrible, it slows my iPhone 13 — which never before lagged in all its life since iOS 15 – to a maddening crawl I have an iPhone 13 mini and have not experienced this.

My iPhone 13 performs better since the Liquid Glass update. Animations seem to have been optimized and are much smoother. I also replaced the battery last year, so it might be worth checking if you are getting degraded performance due to a old battery.

I'm guessing they use very conservative usage in their math. I'm on my pixel all day long but I barely use my iPhone 13 more than maybe an hour a day. I can leave it unplugged all weekend and come back Monday with enough charge to get me through the day.

I'm using an iphone 13, although I prefer to turn sideways and browse in landscape mode. What you consider borderline unusable is just how I prefer to browse reddit.

Depends on the phone, I have trouble fitting models into memory on my iPhone 13 before iOS kills the app. I imagine newer phones with more RAM don’t have this issue especially with some new flagship phones having 16+ GB of memory

i have a iPhone 13 that i bought in 2023 before then i had an iPhone 8s i bought in 2016. apple will not be seeing me until 2029 when i buy the phone thats about to be discontinued.

Just bought a Iphone 13 this week for 188€, after a long time without Apple. And im impressed how clean it still works with everything!

I just got my battery replaced and it was the best decision ever! I'm so happy that I can extend the life of my iPhone 13 :)
