iPhone 12

Yeah I'm still using an iPhone 12 from late 2020 and it's honestly still fine in terms of its processing power, cameras, features etc. for anything I use it for. It does need a new battery but even that has degraded way slower than earlier phones I've had. [...] I don't really notice much difference at all between my old one (when it worked) and the new iPad Air I replaced it with, except for the battery being a little better and having a bit more ram being nice (websites in background tabs are less likely to be purged from memory when I come back to them).

I literally went out and bought the latest iPhone after my 4.5 years old, perfectly working iPhone 12 was forced to update to iOS 26.2 overnight, and next day was not usable anymore. It turned so slow that I went to an apple store and bought the latest.

My almost 5 year old iPhone 12 does all of this. No issues, no pull towards upgrading except for USB-C.

Ive had iphone 12 since 2023 never had issues the battery capacity is at 76% but its been a solid phone

Using the 12 pro since march 2021. I might replace the battery soon and have it for more time

I just love my own 4 year's old iPhone 12 on iOS 26.4.2 updates as of now <3 <3 <3

how long have you had your current phone? i've had an iphone 12 for four years and before than had a few older ones i got from friends to replace the 5C i had for three years or so before that. i'll keep using this one until it stops working too

I got my 12 almost two years ago because a family member give it to me for free, but i lost storage (from 128 to 64) and battery (even if i did change the battery in a local repair shop) from my 11 and i miss it. I did update to ios 26 and it was getting so much bugs (because i was always out of storage) until i decided to do a icloud backup and do a clean instal but i feel like its temporary solution so i plan to change but I will see what happen in september or later if i am not getting bugs again.

Bought my 12 mini last 2022 (used) and still using it as my daily until now BH sucks and always carrying a powerbank everytime I go out but still rocking it especially in the camera department portability. The one thing that I'm really annoyed about my mini iPhone is that how difficult to find phone cases for it. The low sales numbers proved it even though I wanna upgrade to a used 15/16 pro or 17 baseline for the iOS support, I'm still gonna use my 12 mini for now

I’ve got the regular after one full year of usage i’d say just upgrade it’s not worth it tbh the charging takes an eternity the screen isn’t good the camera is decent but the battery if u’re using wifi it would last you up to like 6 to 8 hours of normal usage however if you use data it would last maybe if you’re lucky 4 hours but to be honest with you the only downsides to this phone that are actually annoying are the battery and the charging other than that it’s an acceptable phone

Yea I just swapped my jogging/beach iPhone from an Xr to an iPhone 12 and wow, it's so much better than the Xr and pretty much as good as my "proper" phone, an 17Pro. I chickened out at last minute and went with the non-mini iPhone 12 because it had marginally better battery life. I regret that choice to this day.

Out of curiosity I tried to load this on my iPhone 12 and it took about 8 and a half minutes and once it finally passed it said my browser didn't allow cookies and to enable them before trying again. I would have to go through the whole proof again. I get what they're doing but there definitely needs to be some work done on getting those times down on iphones.

I've upgraded from iPhone 12 to 17 a few months ago and I agree, I could have waited 1 or maybe 2 more years. At this point I just upgraded because I wanted to and could afford it, not because I needed to (even though I'm a heavy phone user, unlike you according to what you're saying). The iPhone 12 was my first iPhone and I've been really impressed by how long it lasted, and I'm only hoping I won't need to upgrade before the iPhone 22 release.

If you can tolerate an older phone by 2 or 3 generations, a cost-benefit analysis reveals its cheaper still to go used and buy that class on a Facebook marketplace like platform and then repeat that (selling or even keeping your old phone) when you're ready to upgrade again. This is what I personally do. I haven't upgraded my iPhone 12 yet and when I do, I'll likely go like an iPhone at base settings thats 2-3 generations older than present then.

Yeah I guess I should correct and say that I do use an HP 50G emulator on my iPhone cuz I like RPN. But even still, the iPhone can do many things and is many times more capable, and you can buy a used iPhone 12 that works fine for about the same price as one of these calculators.

I'm still using an iPhone 12, and given I have a proper camera, see no reason to (ever?) upgrade. After a battery replacement, it still runs perfectly well. That seems like a problem for Apple.

This is a fun one I think: - Use dark mode - Go to wikipedia (or any white page) - Open the keyboard - Watch the keyboard start in light mode and then resize very weirdly within its container as it switches to dark mode Atleast it does on an iphone 12

yeah, it's fine on desktop but it's dog on my iphone 12. I prefer the look and UI over most modern websites though. If was using the products from webhog I'd probably enjoy navigating around and interacting more than most sites.

Funnily enough, I don't consider the iPhone 12/13 mini miniature at all. [...] And I still believe the 1st generation SE is the best smartphone Apple has ever released: a rectangular screen, no camera bumps, a fingerprint sensor (that is still faster than Face ID), a mini jack, light, affordable, etc.

Id love an upgrade for my 13mini but Im not willing to give up usability to get it, these huge phones are like wearing shoes 4 sizes to big. Sure all day battery life is great but when its an all day clumsy hassle as well? Will have the mini for another 5 years no doubt.

I swear Apple can put software in their phones to make older versions of them malfunction. Someone is selling their iPhone 12 and stressing they replaced the battery and my phone battery has SUCKED

honestly just taking care of the battery is the main thing i've noticed o: i'm still on an iPhone 12 and have had minimal issues in all the time i've had it, though i've had it replaced once or twice. i don't remember why.... i think screen damage related?

Had a Samsung S22 ultra ; after a motorcycle accident , the screen cracked… I worked for a month then turned white so I bought another one. For some reason that screen turned white with no damage to it. I bought another one same thing, but a white line to the top right then turned white. I had an iPhone 12 lying around… popped in a new apple battery. Been using it since with 0 issues and the performance is great. [...]

i used to find the idea of wireless charging really dumb btw ..until i got a phone that supports it, nowadays it's basically all i use although that's mostly to limit charging port wear, replacing that on an iPhone 12 requires basically a full teardown
