Turns out you can install JellyFin client on pretty old iPads (iOS 12 in my case) and use it as a device for basic media consumption. Ironically, my old iPad Air from 2013 has more options than my iPad Air M2 13" - cellular support, headphone jack, small enough to hold!

Same, I actually bought a few of the Smart Keyboard Folios to use as they die. Upgraded to the M2 iPad Air, as I think it's the last of this form factor... It is just such a shame they discontinued the keyboard. It makes for the perfect iPad with a full keyboard.

I got the iPad Air M2 13-inch. Not quite the most recent version of the Air, so I was able to find it at a discount. But I specifically got it cuz it uses the Pencil Pro so it has pressure sensitivity, has 128GB memory & 8GB RAM, and it was the only one that didn’t feel cramped to use.
I got a Mac after I switched my main drawing device to iPad Air M2. iPad and Mac works great in the ecosystem

Considering the powerful hardware, the form factor and the good keyboard (I have a used Apple Magic Keyboard paired with our iPad Air M2), if I could virtualize an actual Linux distro to get some job done in the iPad it would be great. But no, you are restricted to a cripped version of UTM that can't even run JIT and because of that is really slow because of that.
