The minimum viable setup is the Home Assistant Green. I run it on a slightly better ODroid, since the green did not exist at the time. Any heavy task, like using Ollama, are passed over to my far more main computer.

For my flaky devices, it it not a manufacturer integration, but over Zigbee. It's definitely the device as my other Zigbee devices are solid. Only if you're running your own zigbee network/hub. I've had zero issues pairing aqara sensors directly to my own skyconnect zigbee dongle plugged into my home assistant green server.
