GoPro HERO13 Black

had my go pro 13 here creator edition for a year now and never knew i could take the lens off.

As an active cyclist, I bought the DJI Osmo A4 about 6 months ago just b/c of the battery life, magnetic mount, lighter and smaller. Now though, I might consider getting the GP H13, with the magnetic mount being implemented, GPS return, slight increase in battery life, and all of the additional features. Buttttt, probably gonna wait a bit for prices to go down, so likely another 6 months from now.

With all the nice innovations and the great possibilities of changing lenses and the powerful battery, I am disappointed as Europe's largest touring and spot channel for water sports. I do think that the GoPro is a good camera. [...] I only purchased my first GoPro camera a few months ago, and I purchased the Hero 10 black. For the moment it does what I want an action camera to do, so no necessity to upgrade for more fearures. However, I do have one con, and unless GoPro changes in the future how the battery compartment opens (not a good design for anyone that has problems with their fingers) , I will probably not be upgrading to a future version.

still using my go pro 4 and i think quality is the same as 13, its just fire

I still use my GoPro hero 7 black works great but thinking about upgrading to the HERO Black 13

Super Amazing Update. Especially about the Quick Capture update. Today I was fishing for the 1st time and was frustrated when I hit the capture button I seen it took longer for the camera to shut off! I'm new to action cameras and I've just got the GoPro 13 black for my first one, I think I'll get used to it as for other cameras I personally don't think I'll see any difference if I'm honest 👍🏻

thanks gopro for the update. love since gps is back on gopro camera. now looking forward to have gopro and quick subscription to be available on my country (Malaysia) since many years.

My main gripe with GP is the crap batteries in cold weather. I didn't think any action cams could have worse but you said the Osmo was even worse. I was actually thinking of buying the Osmo but I'm having 2nd thoughts now

15:17 Salve Ray, I believe its perfectly fine for the GPH13 or any GP Hero to throttle charging rates when it's within the camera body. [...] You certainly don't want your precious action cam to flat-out burst into flames when charging it up! Plus battery health is cared for with throttled down rates. Charge up those Action 4 batteries at blitzkrieg speeds back to back for several months and your battery/ies will be as good as ruined!!! [...]

Great video. I'm sticking with my GoPro 10 for another year. I have zero issues with camera and these changes aren't enough for me to change cameras.

Hi guys I have over 1000 videos in the gopro cloud. It is a tremendous bang for buck. You can even share 360 vids with others etc.

Has anyone experienced any issues with stabilization issues + quick capture? I've just had my GoPro11 Black replaced with the 13 Black and the 11 was having loads of stabilization/quick capture issues. Like the hypersmooth just wouldn't work and the footage would look horrible, basically unsaveable after. I always use quick capture and came accross some people having similar issues so I was wondering if any of the 13 user have had that?

I have the 13 and I like it, but I wish it came with a user manual to explain all the features. This is my first venture into photography and I haven't a clue on how to use 90% of the features.

I just got the 13 with the intentions of chin mounting to my motorbike helmet, bit gutting seeing a lot of people say the dji is better but some still say that go pro cant be beaten for moto vlogging ?

The only gopro ive had issues with overheating (the camera turned off because it was too hot) is the gopro mini 11. It has an internal battery so not suprised. [...] If im able to, i just splash some water on the camera or dunk the back in some water. [...] The newest hero mini camera was a let down. My phone camera puts it to shame. [...] I had a float case on the 12 and the camera came off my helmet when i was going down the road at 45mph. The camera didnt even stop recording lol. I recently broke the ultra wide lens for the 13 and that was frustrating.

First gopro worth the investment. I have some problems when i want to connect with the app sometimes it take it instant sometime just wasting time waiting to connect

Definitely the most comprehensive review of the Hero 13 on YouTube at the moment. [...] 😃 The one feature that might tempt me to upgrade from the Hero 11 Black is the ability to connect to wireless mics like the DJI Mic 2. I have seen a video where the sound quality is degraded via Bluetooth to the GoPro compared with internal recording on the DJI Mic 2. Hopefully this can be fixed with a firmware update. The charging cable is redundant to me as the GoPro is usually mounted on the Volta. Great video. I would love an action camera that could film for 2 hours non stop from one battery, make it bigger I don’t care. Personally I have a GoPro hero 10 black and the insta360 ace pro, wins in most comparisons, although the GoPro wins with the front video screen, it’s just easy to use if filming in car footage, although it could be bigger.

[...] New Batterie ... no new Go Pro for me. Have always 2 on my bike and will not by 2 new ones. One would mean 2 Batteries and changer on my bike .. no. One Questions Quick Capture , is the long press mode back ? This starts a Hyperlapse one of my most used features. This is why I still use my 10 because the new ones, does not have this anymore ?

Solid review mate! Sadly I’m not impressed enough to want to spend a whole lot of money for marginal updates, I wish the would have driven a bit more new as now it’s closer to par with the DJI, but DJI now is going to release their next gen. Espcialllly the batteries, I get very few benefits without the new lenses and have to toss all the old Enduro batteries which work great.
