I managed to purge myself of Apple as of a couple of years back by getting an s24 ultra. Main things that stand out over apple: - Much higher resolution camera w/ pretty incredible zoom. Though overall picture quality is a far closer comparison. [...] I use my phone as my laptop daily, I've also used it as a dumb terminal for remote gaming while travelling which works exceptionally well - Access to alternative browsers, ad blocking, alternate stores, side loading apps etc While Google is no angel Apple actively works against open systems and control of your own devices, I'm glad to be out of that ecosystem.

Me too. Watching from my S24 Ultra 512GB Phantom black. Just upgraded last year from S23 Plus.

Earlier this year I downgraded my S24 ultra to an iphone 13 mini and then to the first gen iphone SE. I replaced the battery myself on the SE and couldn't be happier. Less screen time and more IRL time. People should just use less of their phones and for battery longevity they should not let their phones go daily below 20%. [...]

But as a mechanical keyboard affectionate with a veritable museum of ergonomic and mechanical keyboards, the Samsung S-Pen is good enough for terminal work. Yeah I had it for 2 months now and I haven't had a single day finished with less than 50%. My S24 Ultra I usually had to charge around 3-4pm or it would be going into power saving mode by 8-9pm

On my Samsung S24 Ultra I have a routine set up where it automatically disables fast charging during the night, but enables it again during the day - the logic being that I don't mind if the phone charges slowly while I sleep, but if I plug it in during the day then I probably want the quickest top-up possible.

Seems like =2026 will be the year I'll start buying stuff again that has been replaced by mobile phones during all the years (Camera, Mp3Player, etc.) With this coming, buying a flagship mobile phone simply doesn't worth for me anymore. Currently i own a S24Ultra, my next mobile phone will probably be the cheapest Chinese crap I can get, just for the mobile things i "have" to use it.

You get a new holder. The one that came with our e-Up was too small for my S24 Ultra, so I just got an adapter on eBay for like £3 and installed a new holder(with wireless charging!). Where there's a market need someone will provide a solution.

My Samsung s24 ultra chugs at like 10fps or lower when scrolling on this site. Needless to say I won't be taking recommendations from the author, if I can't use their website smoothly on one of the most Powerful phones on the market.

I use an S24 Ultra. Best camera I have ever had and also 7 years of software updates.

I don't know what your setup is, but it did work for me, creating an app that shows as its own icon on the homescreen, without FF chrome, with a separate app-switcher entry. Using a S24 Ultra with whatever the current OneUI is.

It's 100% for pushing the Samsung phones, the whole galaxy unpacked event theme was "Galaxy AI." Everyone I know has gone from upgrading every 1 or 2 years to 4+ years, including myself. Phones are much more expensive and iterations are fairly minimal, but over a 4+ year span it's pretty significant. I'm going from an S20 Ultra to S24 Ultra this year and excited for the better display, cooling, cameras, and having a stylus I can use for small pixel arty stuff without lugging my massive ipad around.

I think we need to post our wins because shit is bleak. I finally got a new phone that I've wanted for nearly two years (Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra) for less than half of retail because I bought it refurbished and it has minor wear on the edges. This might sound like a silly win but I'm stoked.

I have the S24 Ultra in titanium gray 1TB, and I love it. I probably won't upgrade my phone until the S27 Ultra or S28 Ultra.

I just picked one up 2 weeks ago and I love it. Got the orange one.

I still love my Titanium Black S24 Ultra (512 GB) and I will keep this forever due to iconic Samsung boxy design, more premium looking than S25 Ultra, the bluetooth S-Pen (camera shutter was amazing), the amazing camera lens and more. Probably the best 2024 smartphone that Samsung had ever made, not perfect but beautiful crafted phone. The real and last ULTRA Samsung phone, was also peaked ULTRA phone.

Mine is currently in the back burner while I'm trying an iphone 17. But the S24 Ultra is the best phone I've ever had.

Just bought my brandnew spanking December 2025 production date S24 Ultra and the best decision I've ever made, 7yrs of OS update, boxy note design, Bluetooth S-Pen and how beautiful it is. S25 Ultra looks cheap,no comparison, came from S23 Ultra, never looked back

So cant samsung build a bigger battery for when us tge s24 users want to upgrade their battery? I think samsung should have kept this design for the ultra series they messed up big time on that

I just got a new Samsung S24 Ultra and can say unequivocally that it is the best phone in the world. Having 2 speakers and listening to music from YouTube, the stereo playback and recording are mindboggling. You hear clear separation of left and right and get a surround sound effect. I can even hear bass. They gave me $1,000 trade in value on my 7 year old Samsung Note 8 phone that had a cracked glass and case, so the phone only cost $299 instead of $1,299 ; of course you pay taxes and I paid a set up fee where it took an hour to transfer all my data from my old phone to the new. I also paid $65 for a case that is rubbery like so if I drop my phone, which I do a lot, it won't break. [...] The volume is easy to work with an up volume button and a down volume button. The camera looks awesome with so many features. [...]

S23 Ultra 512 GB ROM in the house. I intend to use this phone until the S27 Ultra comes out. I still have my 4 year old Note 10 Plus.
