Galaxy S24+

And for what it's worth, not to be /that/ guy, but I've had a Samsung Galaxy S24+ going on 2 years now and it's the only phone I've ever had in my life that I haven't had any issues at all. It just seems to keep up with everything without issues. Downside is the lack of security though.

Had this for almost 2 years, this phone is what I waited for since my a20+ knowing the next few were downgrades

I have the S24+ (exynos) afther 1 year and 6 months and the battery is really good and the charging speed is also really good :) (my screen resolution is FHD+)

Watching this on my S24+ Cobalt Violet. Got it in December of last year.

I have a S24+ and Anubis often runs poorly for me and fails. I tend to frequent tech related sites so browsing on my phone has been miserable the last couple months. I checked the value of navigator.hardwareConcurrency on my phone and it returns 9... [...] It looks like setting light performance mode in device optimisations (I don't game on my phone) turns off the S24s sole Cortex-X4.

I'm generally annoyed with the amount of processing going on in modern phone cameras, they often take pictures that "look fine" on the screen, until you zoom in to native resolution and discovered most of it is some fever-dream of approximations, it's amazing that we (people) are accepting this.. Lots of fine memories degraded by cheating cameras.. It's annoying especially because at a glance, the pictures taken by my S24+ look just fine, and it sometimes makes me not pull out the aging DSLR.. but then when I get the pictures onto my PC and want to actually look at them.. I also want to add on that I really appreciate the benchmarks. When I was working with RAG llama.cpp through RN early last year I had pretty acceptable tok/sec results up through 7-8b quantized models (on phones like the S24+ and iPhone 15pro). MLC was definitely higher tok/sec but it is really tough to beat the community support and availability in the gguf ecosystem.

Maybe premium Android smartphones do? My Galaxy S24+ seems to have one. Edit: at least the excellent Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite gives me a barometer signal indicating 102570 Pa right now.

I jumped ship after they stopped using Qualcomm chips and the battery life went way down. The S24+ has been a much better phone.

You can get flagship Android phones for $500 or less if you are a bit patient and have a good carrier. I just ordered a Galaxy S24+ from Google Fi for $450 and it's a better phone than the $1100 pixel 9 pro XL imo. 6 months from now and on days like Black Friday you'll be able to get the pixel 9 for less than $500.

Cameras are amazing, it's fast, and when it reaches 3/4 years of use i will just get a battery replacement and carry on with it because the 7y of OS updates will keep it alive for a long time

I just bought this on ebay 4 weeks ago and i think i hit the jackpot cause on FHD i get around 10 hours of screen on time and on QHD i get over 9 hours hours of screen on time. The phone is amazing considering i upgraded from my S21ultra

Moved from the S22 Ultra to this one cause the battery on the Ultra got worse over the years but I was surprised on how good it is on this exynos version. I get over 8 hours of screen time with still some juice left. Really happy using the S24+ & now I don't have to worry about upgrading any time soon.

I Only got the s24 + 2 weeks ago and I have to say it's the best phone I've ever used. Get a screen protector, dude End of story.

I have S24plus in my hand. but, just scrolling through instagram for a while the phone heats up like anything. leave gaming 😭

I'm owning one but I'm not using it because of washed out colours I bought A34 it's vividness is better than S24plus this is the big disappointment from Samsung I think I'll try it gain when ONE UI 7 is released

I use wifi almost. It is easily getting 8hrs SOT of 70% battery. It is not so bad Also i bought it with just 660 $

S24+ is my first galaxy without S pen for last 12 years or smth. It's amazing, battery is amazing, weight and size is much more comfortable, camera is amazing. I barely notice the difference in casual photo shoot and don't even remember what S pen is

Has anyone else noticed a slight static noise coming from the earpiece/top speaker during calls? I'm using an S24 Plus, and I've already replaced my phone once, but the issue persists.

I just bought my S24+ w/ Exynos 2400 set at FHD+, standard performance, adaptive motion (120 Hz refresh rate), 5G on, Bluetooth on, and after using for 5 days, I usually have around 5-6 hours of SOT that uses 80%-90% battery, mostly for social media browsing, Spotify and online shopping, without gaming. My fully charged battery usually lasts only around 20-21 hours before fully discharged. For me this is quite disappointing since all new phones I bought in the past had batteries that could last over a day with similar usage. [...] But all the YouTube reviews seems to be praising the battery life of S24+ w/ Exynos 2400 and demo battery drain tests which mine could not replicate.

[...] Top reason: trade-in credit and killer deal I got on 23+ purchase made the upgrade worthy of serious consideration. Other reasons: Display is 30% sharper and 50% brighter than the Galaxy S23+ Finally now, the more compact cousin of the pokey/bloaty S24 Ultra has legit battery and display(higher PPI, even!) swagger. Battery runtime is awesome (2 days easily on an 80% charge that has 25-30% remaining on day 3) Double the storage 50% more RAM 7 years of software updates may be a bit of a stretch though with SD 3 and 12 GB of RAM, it might hum along nicely for a while beyond OnePlus' 4 years.

I bought the S24+ instead of the Ultra simply because I don’t need the S-Pen, it’s much closer to the Ultra than the base model in terms of specs (compared to previous years, when it was just a larger base model), $1300 is too high (I could barely stomach $1200 for previous Ultra models), and I prefer this form factor over the Ultra’s. I got the anti-reflective screen protector for free on preorder, slapped it right on and bam! My S24+ has the same anti-reflective screen as the Ultra.

my vivid mode doesn't work, a lot of the interface seems washed out or hazy, and the volume seems a bit low on mine. Unsure if I got a dud, or if it is more common? I am comparing it to my s21+ and I actually prefer the 21+ version.

I got the S24 Plus 512GB and i think the plus has the best value this year it has now a QHD+ (3120x1440) wich gives it the highest ppi 513 in the s24 series. It has a 6.7 inch display and a 4900mah battery so for me its the best value of all the models S24 Ultra included!

I've got the s23 plus and I think the plus model is the pick of the bunch. My battery life is amazing but it's not as massive as the ultra

I just this weekend """upgraded""" from an S9+ to an S24+, losing the 3.5mm jack, but not without the exact sentiment of the author. I looked at every possible option to retain my jack, but ultimately found myself forced into either a new Samsung or Pixel due to their commitment to an actually reasonable-ish update lifetime promise of 7-ish years. [...] I upgraded ONLY because I'm uncomfortable not having security updates/patches. [...] Upon quick tests, I think I even prefer the camera on my S9+. I absolutely, passionately hate Bluetooth. I am kinda regretting getting my s23 plus. Yes its amazing and has been for me, at 320 is incredible, but if I waited a bit more I could've gotten the s24 256gb with the 7 years of os updates. I NEED samsung to do a pixel and do extended software for the s23 series pleeeaase

I use both (but the standard version), got a few likes & dislikes compared to iphone. When it comes to recording stuff, I always go with my iphone (video + sound quality just better) but when it comes to work chats & youtube, I will always go with my android. It probably just me but to this day I haven’t found out how to make youtube screen small while I access other apps, usually it just got thrown into the island and it sucks
