I've used an Elgato facecam for 4 years now, from my experience it's been solid.
(not sure of price range but): the elgato facecam I bought a year ago for about £80 has been replaced by a newer version for about £110 ish but tbh I bought something half the price and then realised I should've just got the elgato in the first place. fantastic quality and no messing setting it up
Been a while since I've done an update, but I got a new webcam today (an Elgato Facecam Mk. 2), and worked on improving the lighting conditions. With better control over my webcam ISO/shutter speed/etc., I was able to dramatically increased the brightness of my key and fill lights.

Anyone got any suggestions for an Elgato Facecam that seems to have died? Noticed over the past few weeks I've had to reconnect it for for the Camera Hub to detect it, but now it's not responding or lighting up at all. Different PC ports and cables tested.
Can anyone recommend a good virtual camera for background removal? I have a green screen but it’s a pain to set up when I just want to do a quick stream. I’ve been using Elgato Facecam, the software is “OK” … I refuse to attempt Nvidia Broadcast right now bc Nvidia is on a 5 month failboat ride.
Stream upgrade get. Lena hasn't been using it since I let her use the Elgato Facecam so I've nabbed it to get nicer painting stream footage. The Facecam is fantastic but doesn't have focus/zoom controls so not so good for a painting cam sadly!
