I commented a while ago , not sure you remember about 10 11 months ago and I love thsi controller best controller for ps5 pro beats all the pro 3rd party controller due to it having 1000hz polling rate, it’s so good best for ps5. With pro OLED this controller it s amazing

I have my edge for 2 years now and it still dosent have noticeable stick drift i dropped it multiple times from my headset getting pulled and it flying off my table it took alot of damage and still going strong the cable going through more damage than the controller 😂😂😂

had mine for 2 years. no peeling like in the vid and i’ve only swapped modules twice, extremely worth the investment

Idk I've been an Xbox elite controller user for like 6 years now. I think just two paddles on the Edge is pretty underwhelming for an even higher price tag. The paddles are the main reason I get the pro controllers and just two for $200 doesn't seem worth it for me.

Replacement sticks impossible to find, and grips started peeling on mine after not even two years.

Grips peel after 2 to 4 months plus they turn yellow and get dirty fast even with clean hands. [...] Had the left back button which I use primarily for jump break on two separate duel sense edge controllers and the battery life is absolutly horrible.The stick modules have been out of stock for a while now so if you get stick drift you are out of luck.Here an idea sony instead of stick modules that are always out of stock just use hall effect sticks instead . Id say there are many other options right now in the same price range to get one of them instead.Had high hopes for the duel sense edge but I am very disappointed. Had stick drift on mine probably a month into use and went to order a replacement module and well, 6 months later I still have stick drift lol. Also I wish the tall stick came in a non domed version. Otherwise it’s good, not better than the Xbox series elite 2 though.

Only problem ive had after a year is the rubber pads peeling off abit on the grips

I have tne white version and agree those back grips are the worst aspect. Mine have small bubbles and are yellowing. How is yours a year after you posted this ? .... ngl I do want the black version though 😂

I own this controller by over a years, play mostly Apex Legends i think for this game it S perfect, drift is annoying but I am used to so it S not a problem. A controller I would try is the Exgaming Phantom but I Don t want spend 250 euros again

UPDATE: Lol people stop commenting that the "Midnight Black is out" I've already known and it's worth the 2-year wait". They need to make this black, hall effect and more battery life, but BLACK color will be me buying it.

I love the DualSense Edge, but my only gripe is that the rubber grips started peeling off after 3-4 months of using the controller. I always take care of my stuff, so for that to happen to a $200 USD controller is unacceptable.

Picked up the black one last night just to see what the hype was about and I was very surprised! Definitely awesome being able to switch functions, etc. even on Resident Evil 9!! Will be making more profiles today with my other games So much fun using this!

I bought the DualSense Edge which you can maybe say is frivolous but on the other hand it at least reduces the temptation to buy their other controllers. Hey, you don’t know how nice mappable controller paddles are until you’ve gotten used to using them.

its crazy how i used to hate the dualsense and i thought that the xbox controller was 10x better but then i got a dualsense edge and i dont know if ill ever find a better feeling controller to use

I bought a pair of those TMR modded stick modules for the dualsense edge, so I can use my expensive controller without drift. Imagine if it had already come that way.

Ive had mine since jan2025 and my left back button doesnt work properly anymore like its not the magnet thing that snapped, its the sensor that no longer clicks. Ill see what can i do with the legal warranty (quebec law). I should be getting a refund or replacement since i paid full price on it and it should last longer.

I'm upset that it didn't come with hall effect or tmr, even a upgraded version in 2026, its still the same

3:22 that is deliberate for some game developersto to allow to extra immersion into your game... the perfect example is the last of us part 1 remastered which has the feature when aapplying a bandage it makes you feel that it is getting wrapped tighter and that final squeeze to finish it off! I have been Xbox since the original and I have purchased every generation of Xbox released since and all I can say is that after buying a ps5 to finally play all of their exclusives the level of immersion that the dualsense controller bundled with the console is actually unbelievable! It is a night and day difference when compared tomy elite series 2 for the sheer fact of the haptic feedback on the dualsense... The haptic feedback on the elite is just a normal rumble but on the dualsense it varies in intensity and changes based on what task your character is doing. The dualsense has a 250 times multiplier when it is compared to the elite series 2 in my opinion!

As long as it feels good it can be 150. I own a Dualsense Edge. Just fuck me up.

I’d characterize it as being $100 less than the more comparable Dualsense Edge. ($120 less than the DSE plus the stick module you have to get in case one of your sticks starts to drift 🫩) The main reason I got my DSE was to match the features of the Deck’s controls; 4 extra buttons + trackpads.

by the way, I got one of those Dualsense Edge controllers and woo shit. I get it!

I've been having really bad stick drift on my DualSense Edge, so I bought some modules to replace them. They arrive tomorrow, but now my stick drift is gone????????

I just can't understand the Battery choice on this!?. A 1050mah Battery in a "Pro Controller" Is mental to me! [...] Simple fact is, at the price they are charging, Evrything should be better than a standard controller. The fact you are having to sacrafice anything at this price, is just absurd. Also, They have clearly realised that there is an issue with stick drift, and it just feels like instead of resolving it wiht different stick moduls. They have given ytou an option to pay money for when this problem arrises.

I finally broke down and bought one. The one and only reason is because in the long run buying the expensive controller then being able to replace the sticks for $20 is much cheaper than buying a new one whenever the drift begins.

just got mine few days ago but after few hours of usage the right back button suddenly stopped working. returned it for warranty and still waiting for the replacement. smh

Thanks for video fella, I’ve recently bought one myself and think the triggers are next level, kD is far better, actually enjoying COD much more ( apart from the cheats) I agree with you about the back paddles, two is fine and in nice place feel good. Battery life is fine for me being 53 don’t get that much time to game so 4-5 hours is fine. Dorset England.👍🏻

I have about 2k hours on this controller I got two only reason why I have 2 is because the buttons like r1 and triangle has been completely pressed in because I play a lot of Fortnite and I edit with triangle and have select as r1 they get pressed in so much and get damp but other than that I genuinely love the controller best controller I’ve ever had I have had stick drift only two times after like 1800 hours of playing on both sticks and never got it after

, I just spent $240 on this controller a week ago and everything this man has said is spot on - with that being said it's the best controller I've ever had and I'm glad that I bought it- the one thing that he brought up that really makes me angry too is like why can't PlayStation do this for their regular controllers? It seems so greedy🤷 (re : interchangeable sticks )

I own 4 controllers, all four had the drift. I take good care of them, never dropped them. The one I had with the console went back to Sony for repairs TWICE then I had to have it repaired by a guy I found online and it's fine now.

Man I just don’t know what to pick. I have a scuf reflex I’ve had for years but after the bummers broke and recently the grips just peeled off idk if I want to spend another 300$ on another . The edge does sound cheaper and maybe a bit better with materials.

I have probably more hours than you with it (yes, I'm a hardcore Destiny player too) and still no grips peeling 😮 Battey wise, yes. I just play wired the whole time

2:53 this happened to me within 3 weeks, i saw small bubbles under the rubber, thought it was just screws sticking out through the rubber but unfortunately i was wrong, anyone else having this peeling issue just go to extremerate and get a replacement shell for the grips

1:54 theyre too greedy, theyll say its too expensive to use hall effect style sticks even though the controller itself costs 200 in my country, theyre obviously using these outdated sticks to sell more replacement modules

I have one when I got it it was an amazing controller my first pro controller and before I used it I added those grips whwre u have to aline it onto your controller so the back grip doesn’t peal off and it lasts way longer

For me it was totally worth the price. I get stick drift a lot and have bought many PS5 controllers because of it. But with the edge, the moment I vet stick drift I just buy 1 stick module and that’s it By now I have saved a lot of money by using the edge because if I didn’t I would’ve bought many more controllers

I have 4 Dualsenses with drift and bought an edge for the sole reason of eliminating that problem cause I read it used hall effect analogs, but now I’m afraid again…
