Canon EOS 250D

While the GT81/ASI 2600/mount were being controlled by the ASIAIR, the Canon EOS 250D was being controlled by my laptop & Backyard EOS (my old camera control setup). I initially was testing exposure limits & ISO for f/2! Settled on 100s at f/2.8 before clouds hit.

No, went down the tech rabbit hole after my initial photos! I bought a Canon EOS 250D DSLR around the time of Comet NEOWISE as my OnePlus wasn't enough for what I wanted. I use it with my telescopes for deep sky imaging: I use a high image rate camera for planetary.

Love the viewfinder because I shoot fast moving subjects that seem to elude me with the lcd screen but the lcd screen is much better for closer, slow moving subjects for sure and be able to use the eye detection mode!

Can anyone comment on the sound of the shutter sound when using live view and the viewfinder? I find the shutter sound from the lives view completely different and it doesn't sound good to me. [...] Especially when it's overexposed (for example when focusing in low light conditions) Ok another issue I found with this model is that I can't get a a definedview when using the viewfinder. Too many M50 fan boys out there the truth of the matter is the SL3 is just as good Digic8 is fantastic eye A/f amazing and the battery life of the M50 is terrible not to mention the lens choice. The 250D for me is the biggest bargain out there by a long shot I've had the M50 and also have a 5Dmk3 and to be honest the 250D is what I always end up using for my mountain - sreet and landscape work it's small light and with great lens choice without using the £100+ lens adaptor needed for the M50. Side by side it's hard to notice any difference in this and my main work Dslr the 5D it's a no brainer and a top bit of kit for the cash.

I use my EOS 200D as the second of two cameras that I carry for wild bird photography, set to centre point AF. [...] The other camera that I carry at the same time is the EOS 80D with the 400mm f5.6L & that combo weighs 2.08kg. One camera is in my hand & the other on a peak design camera clip on inside my backpack. The sensor is essentially the same in both cameras & I get results that I am very happy with. New camera just arrived. Canon EOS 250D. Nothing fancy, but a step up from the 1300D I've been using for the past 10 years. Charging the battery now 😁📷

This was just a quick shot with my Canon EOS 250D DSLR and a 250mm lens, and the photo edited on my phone! For "proper" imaging, I used either my GT81 refractor or my 8" SCT, with an ASI 462 camera with Sharpcap to capture the images.

I film in 4K on a canon EOS 250D DSLR, so it literally takes up 80% of my storage when I transfer ONE OR TWO videos to my iPad to edit 😭 it's an absolute nightmare and I can't wait to be free of it lmaooo.

Thank you, Excellent reciew. After buying this Camera, the main problem I faced was the very Poor Sensor performance Indoor, even with good strong lights , the Shots have 4000 ISO , which is not the case with several 10 years old Cameras.

I think it is great. Use it for my channel videos not much for taking pics. Bought used 10-18 and 55-200 and they did not break the bank. Reviews of the lenses were not great but I find them fine for what I do

Considering you used a kit lens the images came out well. I have this camera and usually have a 24mm pancake lens. It's a nice camera for travel or street photography.

My school has a lot of these and a few 750d cameras that we can loan. So far they have worked great.😊

nah its not worth it wast fckin money 1st is shit crop sensor useless 2nd not all lenses work it i make mistakes to buy it i will change to sony a7r iv or canon r8 new one coming up

[...] Wish I had seen it before making the mistake of buying the 250D. I couldn´t use it for my application so I had to sell it. I guess it was stupid of me to think that canon are improving their products over time, when in fact it is the opposite. You just can´t trust that they will include the most basic functionality in their products. I will hate and avoid Canon forever of course!

i bought the sl3 maybe its abit of a mismatch..but my pet hate is poor battery life in electronics

I have M50 and a third party flash that works with EOS M, it over-exposes everything on M50 so there is little use for the center pin,

I have a Canon EOS 1100D which seemed to have developed some kind of sensor fault on the electric viewfinder, displaying strange colours but not causing any effect to pictures. May be time to consider an upgrade, have considered the 4000D but this may swing me to the 250D.
