ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED

I have a HP pavilion x360 with a 11th gen I3... you kinda just have to get used to the "high pitched fan noise" 😂, especially now that its a whopping 4 years old, I confirmed it was the rear grill that was making the impeller blade whistle as they spin, and coil whine is very noticeable...

I have a ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED UX3405 and it's the same here - thermals are shit. [...]

I bought an asus OLED zenbook 14 with the ryzen chip, slapped pop OS onto it and it ran with no issues since. In a lot of ways it's better than the M2 max macbook pro I had before (better screen for one). It was also, uh, 1/6th the price.

I have recently bought an Asus Zenbook 14 (inch) OLED with Intel 9 Ultra CPU and ARC graphics. It's the best laptop that I've ever had - fast, light and decent battery life (though I'm not so worried about that). And it was quite cheap - less than 900 GBP. I agree 14" is the best size, unless you want a desktop replacement, to keep the wires out of the way, in which I would go for 16" or 17".

[...] Coming from a Surface Laptop Go 2, and a Surface Pro 8 before that, the build quality on the Zenbook Duo feels worse. Even a Zenbook 14 OLED (2024) that I purchased around the same time seems like it has better quality at half the price. The Bluetooth is finicky, it has no Miracast support, and the wireless keyboard battery seems to have degraded considerably in just a couple of months, to name a few issues. There’s also questionable design choices, like not making the pop-out stand run edge-to-edge the way Surface does, and not including any way for the keyboard’s top portion to anchor itself when placed on the secondary screen, among others. It’s like a beta product at a premium price, but the form factor is definitely what appealed to me. Sadly, there’s not many other choices in that area, except for the Yoga Book 9i and maybe a MacBook with an iPad anchored atop the screen.

They are cheap. I bought an Asus Zenbook 14 OLED for $699. It has 14 inch 120 Hz OLED screen, 16 thread Intel i7. Solid build quality throughout. Metal exterior, very good keyboard and trackpad. [...]

I bouth it 2 months ago and sometimes mouse pad doesn0t work :( 😢

I have the 2025 Intel variant and it does not have the loud trackpad issue though. Also, change the display scale in settings to 125%,this helps fit more stuff on the screen. Like you said, this is a very good laptop for the price and you really can't complain about much. With the burn in issue, it's not an issue for this laptop because of Asus screen technology, what may be an issue is having your desktop icons display over a long period. [...]

Just Bought the Amd Version with the 3K display and it has been a wonderfull exprerience. Battery life is pretty great I didn't really look for a socket(Tho 3K display lowers it down a bit). [...] Lastly the display is a Joy, I am programer so I look at code all day and this display is very very good for that very decent brightness and high resulation. [...]
