honestly crazy to me that i bought airpods 2 years ago and still have not lost a single one since then

The Airpods 2 have a whistle problem for me. Any time someone whistles or anything makes a loud noise I would feel a pressure on my ear that was quite unpleasant and stemming from the airpod. Haven’t tried the 3 but I wonder if it is related.

Yes! I have worn various and my current are Airpods 2 Pro. The daith is discreet, does not get in the way of anything.

So my Airpods 2 have an outdated firmware version, but as a user I can't explicitly have iOS update the firmware, and there is no indication when an update happens. I wish I would have more control.

Been using the AirPods 2 for a couple months, both for listening, but also as discrete hearing aids (cough:old:cough) and they're incredible.

i bought new airpods 2 weeks ago and i already cannot locate one of the airpods and the fucking "find my" airpod thing is a goddamn joke 😭 why even give me the feature @apple?!

I moved to AirPods 4 with ANC this weekend, and my one observation is that audio technology has come a 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 way since the AirPods 2 that I had. These new ones deliver really clear audio, and honestly rival my Sony 1000XM4 headphones. The biggest improvement IMO is the 4s deliver a lot more bass.

I recv'd AirPods (2 Pro) for Xmas. They are excellent ear buds, as I'm sure you're aware, but the main attraction was their hearing aid capability. I've had Rexton hearing aids for a few years, but never really adjusted to them (comfort, sound quality, Bluetooth support).

I have this issue intermittently just when walking around, at sea level! I can make them start screaming just by holding them even - The Airpods 2 do not have the same issue.

This happened with the right side on my AirPods 2. Quick tip: Use your credit card's extended warranty features (if you used such a card) to get them replaced if they're within 1 year outside the Apple warranty. I've had both AirPods (2nd gen) and AirPods Max fully refunded this way.

I have AirPods 2 and do not have this issue. Maybe you should go bring them to an apple store?

The title should probably specify AirPods 2 and 4. As an owner of AirPods Pro (1st Generation), I was confused because I've only ever had two options: noise-cancelling or transparency. There has never been an option for “off,” so presumably this was a new feature in later generations, which the author explains is no longer available.

So I went on a trip and left my headphones at home … all of them. I was going to be gone for a month so I just went and bought AirPods 2. Now I have AirPods Pro and AirPods 2 and don’t have enough ears. [...]
