Honestly, I've had an Acer Nitro 5 for the past 5 years and it's pretty solid. It was super easy to upgrade the RAM and SSD, which is prohibitively expensive now but in 1-2 years the AI bubble will burst and storage and memory will come back closer to reality.
Nearly had this before me, my daily driver in college (2018-22) was an Acer Nitro 5 Spin (NP515-51) which was the slimmer, lighter variant of the chonkier boi, and, yes, in case you’re wondering, the thermal paste was soldered, and the thing cannot be resuscitated, lel.

I've spoiled myself today. Bought a Netflix gift card to renew my subscription, a $100 Steam gift 'cause February 7th will be one year since I got my Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop, Alien: Romulus on Blu-ray and The Art of Final Fantasy XVI book.
It’s an Acer nitro 5. Mine was from like 2021-22 I believe but I got it last year. Plays sims 4 fairly well, minus the ongoing bugs of the actual game itself.
Acer Nitro 5 is pretty awesome. I've been using the same one for about five years with no problems.

I think my laptop just died out of nowhere, I was working on a video and it turned off on its own all the sudden I've been troubleshooting disconnecting and such and there's no light coming out of it while the charger is connected Is an Acer Nitro 5 AN517-52
First thing i'd like to mention is that I play on my laptop on all MAX when it comes to graphic settings, as that will impact the look and quality of photos. Some thing you might want to know: Acer Nitro 5, nVidia GeForce RTX 3070, AMD Cezanne Ryzen 9Octa Core Processor 5900HX.
Acer Nitro 5 has been my best friend since I got it my first year in army. It’s seen 2 deployments and still playing Elden Ring like a dream
I got a laptop I knew that had great graphics and that I could upgrade the ram and ssd if I wanted too so I upgraded my ram and now am going to upgrade my ssd soon I invested in the Acer Nitro 5 and it was the best thing I've done!
I'll probably need an answer to this soon because Dad's started asking what kind of laptop/computer I want All the above parameters are good, but my current laptop when I got it, an Acer Nitro 5, was really good at running the latest games at the time (read: 2018)
On today's episode of "I may be stupid": I learned I can adjust my laptop's keyboard backlight by simply pressing Fn+F9 or Fn+F10, but only after a Google search for "Acer Nitro 5 515-55 Linux Mint keyboard backlight", and seeing the reply "try Fn + F10" on a post from the Linux Mint forums.
It is I was originally using the Microsoft built in via display screen but it went wonky on me and didn't go well for my bf almost messed him up so he went looking for video capture cards for me and I bought one, both laptops are gaming laptop, Acer nitro 5 and 1650 msi gtx
